I just answered a post which got me thinking.
How dominant is the Dom in your life if you have one or could have one.
Grade a, b, c, d, or f.
I mentioned in the post that got me thinking that a 'Grade a' Dom is the one that send those shivers down your back when they talk, never backs down, but can be rather unyielding.
I guess a 'grade f' would not be dominant at all and b, c, d, would be all the varieties in between.
What I was trying to get at was that people have personalities that allow them to be who they are and how they act. A person can try to be Dominant and succeed on a certain level, but that would be in line more of a pretending to be. The ingrained 'grade a' Dom is one who simply is.
They is nothing wrong with anyone being of any grade. All bring with it their own special qualities of who they are. A 'grade b, c, d' would probably be less rigid and have more give and take, but also may be less consisent and less controlling.
An example - My Mr. B would probably be actually a 'grade b'. He can be very dominant if need be, but he also has a lot of give in him even when at somes he probably should not give in to me. But he does anyway. If necessary however, he can be the Dom from you know where.
Just a thought if anyone else wants to give any impressions of who they have as a Dom. Or what type of Dom they would like to have.

I would have to say that K is between a B and a C.
At times he is very dominate. At other times he isn't, or maybe he just isn't as much as I think he should be. He tends to let things slide if he is tired or thinks I'm tired.
I don't think I could live with an A Dom..that might be to much for me. But, I wish my husband was more of a B most of the time.
Good question....got me to thinking!! |

Grade B, I couldn't deal with a grade A and anyone below as C would be a waste of time.

Now this one is a poser.
Somehow I feel that to "grade" my husband would be demeaning him. To judge his spanking abilities? To whose standards? His? Mine? Yours?
I don't think I am able to put a "grade" on this.
What we do is sufficient for us.
Take my heart and soul. But please don't step on it, it breaks easily.

I agree with Shylah... and IMHO anone below a "C" is awesome! How can it be a waste of time when he/she is disciplining you and it is effective?

Shylah, I will tell you whose standards.  MINE!!! because that is all that matters while I am being spanked.
If you are correct though, it is all a matter of opinion. So.....if you are in a satisfying relationship, then I guess that spanker would be rated as A.
Actually, I think Beachley was more referring to what personalty of Doms any of us prefer.

Fanny - yes that is what I was referring. What personality of Dom is preferred? And if you are in a relationship what personality does your Dom have? Grade A being the harshest, most unyielding and decreasing from there. But if anyone is a sub to a Dom no matter where they are on the scale I am sure there is much caring that takes place also in most cases.
If you are a spanko and you get spanked then YEA!!!! The spanker and the spankee and the spanking probably is pretty much what you want in most cases and would definitely be an A as far as the spanking itself is concerned.

Do you mean when spanking or in life in general? M is an A when she's spanking me, but not as much in our day-to-day life.

That's funny Victoria that you thought this up. A couple of weeks ago I was going to design a series of questions to see how your 'vanilla' was coming along. You know does he do this? or that?I thought it would be cute, but I didn't do it in case it was misinterpreted and taken out of the fun context which it was meant to be. |

HMMM as my Dom is My hubby he can not be a A Dom ...he is gone for week at a time and I run the show when he is gone ..so he would fit a B or C ..as work has forced him to relinquish control

I would like a B Dom. I think an A would be too serious and no fun-all about control. I want to exist in a DS relationship.

Jake is btw a B and C. If I have truly done wrong, he could be an A and is unrelenting in his discipline, yet we always talk before a spanking and we have decided to lessen the punishment, and I have even gotten out of a spanking because of the reasons I stated, yet when it's necessary he doesn't give in. I would say he's more strict than dominant because he doesn't control me, but if I definitely deserve to get spanked, I'm going to be and he is very harsh with it.

Sometimes I want an A but only for a night or two not full time . currently he's mostly a C but I see the possibilities as we discover our improved roles. |
