Collared is a term in the Dominate/SLAVE Life style. The title lets other Doms know that she or he is off limits. Then, Just so you know there is what is called a Protector. A Protector is some one who watched over uncollered slave and makes sure that they get the discipline that they need until they find that Master/Mistress any other questions please ask chevi |

Sometimes being collared does not necessarily mean a "slave" ownership. It can also mean that the people have a close Dom/sub relationship and wish to remain exclusive to that one person. The Dom will place rules on the sub but in the same instance, the sub will expect the Dom to follow certian guidelines as well. There are the ones that prefer the Master/slave situation. It is more intense and the slave will follow the Master's rules strictly without the Master being held to any guidelines. It depends on the relationship as to how the collar is regarded. My hubby and myself are "collared" but our collaring is a sign that we are married and only interact with each other. Take my heart and soul. But please don't step on it, it breaks easily.

I didn't even know that Masters and slaves collared. My husband and I were collared in the chat room where we met. The only time we use that term now is if we are in the chat room. We are married and it doesn't seem necessary to use the term real life. I guess I'm with Shylah on this... my husband and I are collared meaning we are married and exclusive to each other. There are also different brackets at the end of the sub/slave name. { } with part of the Dom/Master name in the bracket. The { } is a sign that they are collared on line and the [ ] is a bracket used to show collaring in real life. At lease this is how it is in the chat room we chat in. |

I'm collared in my relationship, a sign of our commitment to each other. I wear a necklace and bracelet he gave me as a vanilla form of collar and cuffs, and I have a regular BDSM type collar that I wear to clubs and parties. My collar tells others that I am protected by my Dom, and that permission must be sought if they want to play with me. To some a collar is no different than a wedding band, and to some it means little...they change collars like others do underwear. To me it is a serious commitment, with rules we worked out between us. It's also a sign of our love for each other. If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day, so I never have to live without you. Grow old with me, the best is yet to be.

I am not a "club" person)....and the only person I "go to" is my husband But I'm sure there might be others who frequent this site who will address your question . I, too, have heard about women who are married to a vanilla partner, but will meet with a gentleman who spanks her (or participates in BDSM). Guess it all depends on how open a couple's marriage is. **no need to thank us - we are all here to learn from each other ---------- and yeah...we are great! "Do I have to be good ALL the time?"

Prissietl I have a good friend that is married to a spanking man but she also has a "Master" it started on line then moved to real life. My friend's husband was okay with it. I'm not about to judge what others do...I can just say that for me... My husband is more then enough. He would never be okay with me finding an online or real life Master. I would never want to!!! I don't call my husband Master never have never will. I do however call him Sir when asked a question while being spanked for something serious. He has never asked me to call him sir its just the submissive side of me I guess. I'm curious how others will answer this. I know several of us are in commited relationships but there are several who are not. |

I have to agree with Pink, it is just my Hubby and me, I do know others may be comfortable with a third person in their marriage/relationship, but it's something I just can't do. my name says it all

About clubs, if it's a club with a good rep like Paddles in NYC, I think it's a great idea for like-minded people to get together. It's like going to any other club, you can go to mix and enjoy the atmosphere but you don't have to join in and you can always say "no" to anyone who asks. I really encourage spankos to check around in their area and see if there are any spanking groups or clubs where they can meet others. Especially you newbies, it's a good way to meet up with more experienced lifestylers and learn a thing or two. We have a place for party annoucements and you can read about some of the groups that meet regularly so if anyone is curious you can check that out. If you're looking for a group in your area, Google can be a great source. Search using your home state and terms like "bdsm spanking group" and look around through the links. You might be surprised how many groups are out there. Socializing with other spankos can be fun, fun, fun! |

Ted, please check the annoucement area I recommended before. We've discussed this subject before; we don't allow party announcements in this area because unless it's being thrown by a reliable group, we cannot allow it to be announced on the forum. If a group has an annoucement to make, they can contact me and I'll make a thread with the contact info in the appropriate area. |
