Therapeutic spanking clinic??? Will my insurance cover this? Is this a specialty? How many extra years did you study for this? We played doctor just the other day! How funny! I couldn't exactly get into though because why would a doctor end up needing to spank you? Hubby is a much better doctor than say...a high school principal! Tell me why a doctor would have to spank a patient? How could that be of benefit? I know....I ask too many questions....all part of being a superbrat! |

This is probably not covered by insurance, although it should be. One must complete continuing eduction courses to specialize in therapeutic spanking. This is usually done when the patient doesn't follow the doctor's instructions. For example, doesn't take her medicine the way she is supposed to. Do the correct exercises to help with her recovery, or sometimes, some aches and pains can be attributed to guilt, which a good spanking can certainly aid in relieving! |

So here is a possible real dumb question....are there any REAL doctors or whatever that do therapeutic spankings...? Just gotta ask. I have heard about this but have no facts or details or anything on it. But then I never heard of a therapeutic sex doctor that screws you for real too....BUT there is one or two of those around. They call them...forgive my spelling sarigit sex partner..whatever... About 7 to 10 years ago they would have laughed you outa town....and now its...well if not common place...but at least can say there are such things. In fact heard about one here as well where I live. That kinda shocked me a little. So just have ask if there is such a think or is it just someone mind that working over time in Over drive gear....and maybe stripped a gear or two in shifting without the clutch..... |

Slipperings, Actually, I am a REAL doctor. I have in fact been approached by a patient regarding a therapeutic spanking, but do not do that sort of thing in my practice. In fact, I don't even talk about that to any of my patients. Sometimes, though patients tend to spill out all of their thoughts to their doctor, and well, these sort of things do happen more than people think. House calls can be arranged "after hours"!....grin. |

Are you sure you couldn't get insuranse to cover this? They cover reflexology and whole bunch of others. Maybe we just give it some ology name and they would never know the difference. Maybe like Spankology, or releasology or ouchology. To live life without pulling your hair out, you must find humor in the day somewhere. Without humor we would all just go crazy.

Sorry but by clearing an issue up, I am going to do a temporary highjacking. To the best of my understanding what Slipperings is referring to it a surrogate sexual partner. These are not medical doctors. In fact there are no specific academic degrees required of a surrogate partner. I don't want it to be said that the Den is giving out erroneous information. A sexual surrogate claims to be of help to people suffering from sexual disfunctions and the legitimate ones do not "screw the client". I believe those are referred to as prostitutes. Anyone correct me if I am wrong, but I do not think any legitimate physician with morals is going to risk ruining his/her practice by having sex with patients. I have heard of psychologists who have been sued or arrested for assault when they have attempted a type of spanking therapy on their patients. To the best of my knowledge any patient that is touched inappropriately by an accredited doctor is being sexually harrassed. To the best of my understanding what Slipperings is referring to it s surrogate sexual partner. ------------------------------------------------- YES....that is what I was getting at, just was not sure...just what to call it. I have wondered if something like would do me any good. I do not know why but over the last 6 years I have lost just about all interest in sex...have no idea way. It just has happened. I do not want to lose that, but really...if some sexy chick would walk up to me and offer herself...the odds of me turning down the offer is like in the very high 90% range. No I am not going gay...just have no interest in it, in most part. Ok...Doc..you say your a real doctor...so then you have any ideas why I just do not give a S#!t about sex anymore.....??? This is a serious question... . . If you want to talk in privet, I can do that...and in many ways would perfer that... |

Slipperings, you do need the help of a doctor, but we are not going to put DocBen on the spot here. There is no way he could possibly give you an answer without a complete exam and blood work. There are many medical conditions or medications that could be causing your lack of libido. Six years is a long time. I strongly suggest you make an appointment with your own physician to start ruling things out. It would be a disservice to anyone to try and diagnosis a condition of someone via a forum. Fanny: Thank you for being my receptionist. It's true that it is impossible to diagnose over the internet, or without an exam or at least meeting the patient face to face. I thought that a sexual surrogate has to be licensed, and usually has a degree in psychology or is a licensed clinical social worker (no pun intended). In the US, the unwanted touching of a patient by a doctor is not sexual harassment, but is legally considered sexual battery, which is a felony. (I'm a medical forensic examiner). Chinnook: I'm sure that Slipperings is right: "reflexology", "deep tissue massage" or "physiotherapy" might cover the deal, but hey if at a reasonable price, a cash practice might work nicely! Slipperings: Fanny is correct. My opinions would be be worth no more or no less than anyone else's here. There are many, many reasons that someone loses interest in sex. You're best bet is to see your personal physician, as he/she would know much more about you than anyone else. That person would be the one to give advice or send you to the correct specialist. |

Doc, I did a bit of research before I answered the question on surrogacy. I did a direct copy and paste on the line "in fact there are no speciifics...." I imagine this may differ between states, but that is what I found. As far as the harrassment word, I wasn't sure so I went with the lesser offense of harrassment over battery. Medical boards don't have a sense of humor about those things, that's why it's usually aggravated sexual battery. It seems that whenever I open the paper, there's some doctor, playing doctor!...sigh. |

Slipperings: So sorry to hear about your loss of interest. Since I am not a doctor, nor do I claim to be one, let me just say that one of the symptoms of depression is a loss of interest in things that used to bring you pleasure. So go on vacation and get some endorphins. I happened upon a place in the BVI's (the British Virgin Island of Tortola) called the Bomba Shack that served up some mushroom tea! AFter that, all the women in the place begin taking their bra's and undies off and hung them on a line from the ceiling in this bar and then stood in a long line to go and sit in Bomba's lap. He must have weighed 4oo pounds. That is one smart black man! Let me tell you. Google the Bomba Shack, see it, then get on a plane! Or, just buy the expensive champagne and then go skinny dipping. At the very least, consider mooning someone. If all of that doesn't work ask the doc to check to see if you are perhaps: 1. dead? 2. in a coma? 3. having a real bad dream all the time called life If it's #3, I'd get me some prozac and then I'd do some traveling. Being lighthearted - but really, check it out. I don't believe people "turn gay" and never have. After all, my best gay friend always wanted to wear my clothes or borrow my make up, or play Barbies. That was WAY before he became "sexual." He impersonates Cher now! Not trying to hijack a thread either - but does anyone believe that people "turn" gay? Just curious. Maybe we should do like a poll of 100 members to see what people think. |

Fanny: Definately nothing funny about sexual battery. It's somewhat difficult to be sarcastic in a note, and that's what I was trying to be. As I've said, as a medical forensic examiner, I've been asked to testify if this procedure or that is medically necessary or correct, and sometimes doctors tend to step over the line. The pathetic thing is that it's mostly with children. Superbrat: Haven't burned it out, just working out the kinks (pun intended). Did you get my pm? Also, can I get the recipe for that tea? I'd love to have nude women sitting on my lap. Damn, I'd settle for women in panties sitting on my lap! Shylah: Hold on, I'll catch you...that's what I'm here for. Did I hear a housecall on the horizon? |

Another reality check, sorry members. We have several members in the Den and many millions in the real world who suffer from depression. It is not something that can be cured with a trip, illegal drugs, or expensive anything. If anyone fears they are suffering from depression, again the only way to deal with it is by seeing a physician. Like sexual disinterest, depression has many roots and is not something to laugh about. Queen of Innocence "Well behaved woman rarely make history"

quite right Fanny. As someone who has dealt with depression all my adult life, I know that one needs serious professional help to manage it.Flippant attitudes to a very real, often bio-chemical problem only add to the suffering of a person with mental health issues.Slipperings, we have moderators for a reason and Fanny is one of our best:if she makes a comment then she has a good reason. |

To Slipperings: so, so sorry if I sounded flippant about depression. I realize there may not be a quick cure for people with depression. I am a pro-active sort of person, whether it's back pain (or anything else) and I had indulged in a few too many "endorphins" earlier that night. So maybe then, go and receive/give a good spanking. Fanny is of course correct. I was trying to be humorous, but typed words don't have the benefit of facial expressions and tone of voice. If I had lost interest in sex, I would think I was depressed. I think endorphins are why we all like spanking in the first place. I was just trying to say go and get some endorphins! |
