Just some of my wonderings...... Sitting here with all types of responsibilities and ready to blow my lid, I begin to wonder, “What was so bad about being a kid?” Sure there were rules that you dared not break and chores that had to be done, each chore completely finished before you could go have fun. Oh what I wouldn’t give to be a kid! Or would I? I thought life was so unfair way back then, little did I know just how unfair it could be, now there are times when I just really want to scream, “Why me?” I couldn’t wait to grow up, to be on my own, to be the boss of my own life, I didn’t realize grown ups had plenty of troubles and strife. Oh what I wouldn’t give to be a kid! Or would I? I am surrounded by things that need to be done, dusting, washing, and errands to run, there seems to always be something to do or somewhere to go and not much time for fun. My mom didn’t demand much from us kids, just make our bed and clean our room, but oh how much we would grumble and gripe when she would hand us the broom. Oh what I wouldn’t give to be a kid! Or would I? In the hustle and bustle of preparing the Thanksgiving meal I often ask, “When did all of this cooking become such a task?” Thanksgiving day we awoke bright eyed and bushy tailed looking forward to the day, while our mom spent a sleepless night making sure things were done in her special way. Oh what I wouldn’t give to be a kid! Or would I? Here I am checking to make sure I have presents for everyone on my Christmas list, waiting in line at the store with my hands clinched up into fists. I remember Christmas being full of anticipation and wide eyed wander, “What will Santa put under the tree for me?”, I would always ponder. Oh what I wouldn’t give to be a kid! Or would I? I have learnt as I have grown just how much love my parents had shown, they taught us all that they could, but some things you just have to learn on your own. Though I have more troubles and worries then I did way back when, I can say with a certainty that I wouldn’t want to be a kid again. CC, I did not know we had a poet amoung us! I hated poetry (Or anything in English for that matter, being dyslexic) as a kid, but as I got older I grew to appreciate it. I like how much personal thought goes into it. I used to leave poems for my x, most the time romantic comedy. Also, I used to make my own greeting cards, some times from spanking photos. As I recall I gave her a card that said on the cover "26 years ago today..." Then you opened it and it had a picture of her bottom on the inside that read "Great booty came into this world!". Then a poem about a birthday spanking the perfect bottom had coming and what a honor it was to do it. Fun times. She loved attention and I enjoyed the creativity (Not to mention the outcome!) One of the most under rated qualities is the ability to share your thoughts. Good poem, very true, I myself hated being a kid though! =) A good spanking changes things!

Thanks AKA, I wouldnt call myself a poet.I don't write poems very often just usually as a stress release. When my hubby and I were first dating he found a book of love poems and would copy one down and give it to me. I thought it was so nice. He would always say, this can express my love for you better than any poem I could write. "Success in almost any field depends more on energy and drive than it does on intelligence." Sloan Wilson
