I have read the site protocols and to me they just seem like common sense and good manners, but I guess it takes all kinds so I can see where you would run into problems when your dealing with so many different people. My questions are more about your preferences I guess than actual protocol. Here are my questions: 1. Where should I post questions when I am unsure about something and do not want to break a rule I might not be clear on? Would it be better to just contact a moderator (is that the right word?), about it before it is posted or is there a different way to handle it? 2. I won't have as much time on here as I would like to search archives for info., so is it OK to post a question even if it has been posted sometime in the past? 3. Is it OK to post a reply or comment on a thread that hasn't seen any activity in a long time, or do you all prefer to leave sleeping topics sleep ? 4. I noticed that there is a place for fiction, and for true spanking stories. What about non-fiction things. Is there a place to post essay type things if I have a point of view or infromation based on my experiences that I would like to share, or is that an area that I should steer clear of. I'm not talking about anything off the wall, just some things I've learned and am continuing to learn. Stuff like self image and bratting and how to communicate with my husband ect.? Since these aren't questions though, I'm not sure about posting, if it's OK or not and where. Sorry, It's waaayyy past bedtime and I'm getting rambly. Any help you all can give me with these questions would be greatly appreciated. |

Hi, Vixie, it's late here and I'm ready to crash so my answers are going to be quick for now. 1. Where should I post questions when I am unsure about something and do not want to break a rule I might not be clear on? Would it be better to just contact a moderator (is that the right word?), about it before it is posted or is there a different way to handle it? Maybe it's because it's late but I don't really understand this question. I tried to be as clear as possible about explaining the rules but if you have a question, you can ask me or any of the mods for assistance. If you are going to make a post and think it's questionable, please, consider asking for help. 2. I won't have as much time on here as I would like to search archives for info., so is it OK to post a question even if it has been posted sometime in the past? If you don't see the topic in the current list of threads (the archived threads are in folders with dates on them and are at the bottom of the list of threads in each area), go ahead and make your post. Even if it's in the archives, we can always revisit any topic with fresh perspectives and/or ideas. Also, you can perform a search (link at the top of the page) if you wish. 3. Is it OK to post a reply or comment on a thread that hasn't seen any activity in a long time, or do you all prefer to leave sleeping topics sleep :-)? You can post in any thread that is open in any area. I normally close archived threads when they haven't seen any activity in a while so you might find you can't add to those threads. In that case, go ahead and start a new thread in that area's current threads. Well, I'll be honest with you, we don't have an area like that because we're here to share and exchange ideas in discussion form. If you have a topic you're interested in, start a thread about it in a way that invites discussion. We all have our own ideas about this lifestyle though so please keep that in mind when posting. Also, this thread's topic actually belongs in the Site Information area since it's not actually a spanking topic so I'm going to move it now. I'll leave a place marker in the Spanking Discussions area so people will know where it went if they were interested in it. Bethie |
