For those of you who can't get to a Cracker Barrel, this is just what you've been looking for! (Sorry, link no longer valid. ) you can find both the classic and tournament style paddles. Ooooh! Just looking at them makes my bottom tingle. They don't look like they'd hurt but don't be fooled. They sting something awful when used properly. I think it's all those nasty plywood layers they gloat about in the description. This paddle is such a part of spanko legend everywhere that everyone should at least own one. And I'm happy to help spread the joy! (Message edited by bethie on February 13, 2007) |

We keep a supply of Classic CB Paddles on hand as gifts for friends into "the life." They are espcially fun gifts for newbies. It is fun to give them thier first CB paddle and then require them to have it broken in on them. They always are astonished how much they sting I love the look on a newbies face when she realizes for the first time that the experience she's been longing for and fantasizing about obsessively really really hurts and there's not a thing she can do to make it stop until I decide for it to For everything else there's Master Card Tom Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you've imagined. |

A few simple tips for Classic CB paddle preperation: 1. When ball and string comes off. 2. Remove staple that held string; 3. Sand,or emory board any rough spots where staple was extracted. 4. Weekend project: Take two paddles, prepare as above, super-glue them together, place them in a vice-clamp all day. You will have a double cb that will serve as a definitive attitude adjustment and behavior modification tool for brats. (We had to do that in the old days before the CB was around because the other ball and paddle sets were so light that they broke after a few good cracks. About five years ago we rediscovered the classic CB and bought 4 or 5. One night TD said I had wasted money on some of the tools for the garage and I never made anything out there and if I could buy useleass things I shouldn't complain about the 326 (actual count)things she had bought to decorate the walls of the house. So I went out to the garage and made the double CB. When it was ready it was used and there have been no additions to things hanging in the walls since. VEG Enjoy HMB |

Wolfie: Chalk it up to too much time on my hands. Wolfie: The double CB was only used that once. I went to find it a few weeks later and it was gone.--- As were all of our extra CB's--. I wonder where it went? Oh well, the jokari like paddleball paddle is still right where it always has been and one CB is more than enough in most circumstances. I also think my vice-clamp went missing around the same time-TD said there had been a bunch of small scale robberies in the neighborhood. She would never fib about something like that-would she? I agree Wolfie-No loving wife/subbie would ever hide her top's implements . In any event, I do need help. We have been apart for 3 months and I want to give her a warm (VEG) welcome to South Florida when she gets here next month. I am literally counting the days, hours and seconds. I have a brand new bath brush for play but what would be the most romantic way to present it and what other gifts should accompany it? Any ideas ladies? Enjoy |

CB's no less two different ones. Celebrating that there isn't any Cracker Barrels in Canada. Thanks Wolfie-Great Idea. I'm sure she will love the oil and a nice sugar scrub. Have to spank very light she is just getting over a serious bout of post herpatic neuralgia (nerve pain) that settled in her chest. NBN: My daughter's best friend works in a CB and et employee discounts on merchandise. And I can always find a vice clamp. Enjoy HMB |

Wolfie she loves it. She was dragging one of the doll dresses when I was dressing one of my dolls after washing the clothes. (Clarify I am a doll collector) So I just put it on her and believe or not she just sat there admiring herself it was too much so had to get a pic. Personally I thinks she would win the beauty contest in a heart beat. So see I don't deserve the CB paddle in May yeppers for sure. Headteddy: Thank you for your thoughtfulness. I am scared of the single CB let alone the double one. Also on presenting your lovely bathbrush Wolfie idea is lovely..... I am sure she will love it. Heated massage oil is yummy also. Wolfie: We actually set a date for her to return yesterday. Unfortunately, I took a major emotional hit last night. One of my very close kids graduated from college with honors last night. I taught her in high school and college and she was one of my debaters. So I went to her graduation. When I got there about 30 of my former students greeted me, hugged me, shook my hand and generally embarassed me. Out of 1800 graduates over 115 were in at least one of my classes over the last two years. Wow-so many stories of sacrifice and dedication from these kids-I was overwhelmed and weeping through the whole ceremony. Of course mainlining emotion is not the healthiest thing when I am without TD so after a sleepless night I went a little crazy with the credit card this morning. The day spa thing was crazy expensive but she definitely deserves it.I won't be able to spank her for overspending for at least 90 days without feeling like a major hypocrite!! Thanks guys for your input. Enjoy |

HD, that's the thing about keeping us brats happy, the cycle never ends. You spoil us because we're your brat, spank us for being a brat, and then have to start all over again. I like that cycle, it works out great for me anyway! Seriously though, you did a wonderful job choosing gifts for her. One of the nicest feelings in the world is realizing how cherished you are by the man you love - and receiving gifts you know he spent time choosing just for you shows that. And Wolfie's always full of good ideas! |

Bethie: Thats why we love and cherish you guys. I don't know if us macho top types evr say it but many of us actually base our self esteem on how good a job we do taking care of (in all senses) the ones we love and our brats are first on that list. There is nothing I enjoy more than spoiling TD. Actually, trying to do something nice for her every day is what I believe is the key to 25 years of marriage. From making coffee for her every morning and serving it to her in bed with fresh strawberries (Yes I have done that every day we have been married-thats why this period is so hard) or printing out an article (or dirty joke) she might be interested in to rubbing and kissing a sore spot after play and telling her I love her every day is the key. And in relationships you get back what you give. Stevie: I think many folks around here were probably introduced to the CB when they were kids. TD was-her mother actually kept a collection of them which we found in a box in her closet after she passed away. TD said "Those used to sting like Sh*t" She smiled softly and started to cry. I just walked away to see if her Dad needed anything in the living room. End of sappy post. I will now go and do something manly like watch basketball. Enjoy Enjoy |

I received my first post-pubescent spanking one week ago. It was delivered by hand, it was light, just stung a little, and it was very erotic. My second one, which I received today, was also delivered by hand and had me gritting my teeth and wondering how much of it I could take! And you guys use bolo paddles? hairbrushes? yipes! I really am trying to "get it", and I may actually be on my way to "getting it", since I am already trying to figure out how to get another one. lol! But I still think I'm a long way from bolo paddles. My hat's off to you subs who can take that. Or is the correct term "bottoms"? By the way, I think my generation is the one which out-lawed corporal punishment to children. And while I do not endorse this measure, I do believe the bolo paddle was the single biggest factor in bringing it about. P.S. Please, don't everyone start throwing their paddles at me! I'm a newbie and I'm just trying to get a clue here, OK? Thanks Oh, and Headteddy, I do hope things get better for both of you very soon. Blessings. |

I guess I'm missing something. I was spanked by - not a CB paddle, but a paddle in the same class - and I finally had to admit to my top that while a very loud noise was happening, I was feeling ....not much. He tried hitting harder but it just made a louder sound. I HATE wood, but the little paddles designed for bouncing rubber balls??? All sound and no fury for me. |

Stevie: Thanks for the kind wishes. TD's mom passed away a long time ago, her father shortly later-being apart for six month because of business and family reasons is hard but we are fine and will be even better when we are together in August. As you get more into the scene you will find your tolerance will go way up. You also will need to teach your tops how to do a warm up. I probably turned off 2 or 3 early bottoms beacuase I didn't do a warm up. TD always reminds me that I don't know my own strength, so I have learned over 25 years with her and 5 years with other partners before were married to make sure the warm up is always a part of TTWD. For many the hand is what is all about so don't feel your missing something because you are not yet into wood or leather. TD says skin to skin is the best because it is self regulating. The top's hand starts to sting so bad the spanking stops so at least there is some reciprocity!! I say I am willing to try to push the envelope because all true champions play with pain!! Headteddy: Thanks for the kind reply. It's a nice thought to imagine a top having to run his hands under cool water! And if I seemed to imply that I think I'm missing something, well, not yet anyway! lol! Mainly, I just don't want anyone to think that I'm am disparaging what they've chosen to do. I'm so sorry to hear that you two have been apart for so long. Maybe some of us class clowns and newbies can help to keep your mind occupied. My husband was in the military, so I can relate to what you're going through. Any diversion was welcome, but it always came back to the simple fact that he wasn't here. Again, my blessings on you. |

Stevie, dont feel bad that your levels are low...everyones are at first. The more you play, the higher they go and thats when the toys come into play as well. LOL Because I am in a l/d relationship I dont see my Dom very often, so my levels never get very high. I used to compare myself to those who could be spanked for ages and use all manner or implements...but this isnt a contest. If you enjoy your spanking and are having fun, then thats all that matters. Lily, perhaps you need a build up of spanking before the wooden paddle will work? A hand warm up, followed by leather, followed by paddle or hairbrush, etc...might make a better impression. And if your using a cheaper made paddle instead of the CB, just wait! It can be very evil, especially with the dreaded machine gun technique! |

Lily, the whole charm of the Cracker Barrel paddle is that there are no others in its class. The CB paddle is made of heavy 9-ply birch plywood, and is perhaps five times thicker than any of the "toy" paddle ball paddles you'll find in a typical department store toy section. Most of those do, indeed, generate little more than "sound and fury, signifying nothing." |

Julia: A trip to a CB store is always a good idea. A good meal, nice merchandise, an interesting new toy-remember in some stores some people hide the paddles under the shelf. However, after your first experience with the CB you may wonder about the wisdom of the road trip. Best: HMB |

Julia: My new bath brush is still wrapped in the gift basket waiting for the lovely TD to return. We have never used that but have used a short handled hair brush that pinches, burns and leaves a deep soreness and fades to a tender warmth but can bruise. The CB is a very different sensation. It is pure burning sting that can last for well over an hour before it fades to the bad sunburn feel. TD once described it as "a million red hot needles sticking into every inch of her rear" From my perspective, nothing we have ever tried comes close to exciting her as much as the CB burn she loves to hate. Because there is rarely any bruising from the CB she is much more amenable to massaging and into a more "up" and less devastated head space. Hope this helps you with what to expect. Everyone: It has been a really good night-one of my full retainer consulting clients was elected to the city council of a a large city here with 62% of the vote in a three way race. This was my first campaign in four years and the win felt good-real good. The unbridled joy of 100 plus supportes who worked their tails off at the polls today and the light in the eyes of my candidate's family after a a grueling 4 month campaign felt even better. The bonus check will assure TD's return and that feels even better. It will also cover the cost of the day spa in her gift basket. I feel really good for the first time in months and you guys are a big part of that. Thanks and enjoy. One very wired Teddy says goodnight. Again! |

I found a long handled, sturdy bath brush a couple days ago. We tried it out last night and it has a pain all its' own. We have the paddle Bethie put on her site (just like the CB)and a few others (as well as Vermin)but this thing, HOLY CRAP! It stings really intense then a burn starts happening deep down that increases then fades back down, kinda like a cane does, you know the 2 sensations in one? I'm hidin' it! |

This is too funny. Talk about being naive, my husband gave me a spa package for Christmas with a long handled bath brush. It is still in it's wrapper in the pretty basket next to the tub. Now I'm wondering if he has just been waiting for me to unwrap the thing. I am having second thoughts about it now. |

I was just on the Cracker Barrel website and they have a bunch of old fashioned toys listed there, but no ball and paddle set. I wonder why they don't sell it online. I'm sure it would be a big seller and stop people from having to ask the cashier to find one behind the counter. |

My son gave me a bath package for my birthday it had a floating duckie bathbrush which was cute but already warned Mr. NN that it was definitely for my back not my bottom. He did laugh when I informed him he can still wash my back for me without me having to use the bathbrush. I don't trust him. NN When I told TD that I had bought the bathbrush she reminded me of how much she likes the glove massage in the shower and how "Nice" she was to me afterwards and than commented how much time we had to make up and that she was going to make a very serious effort to keep my mind off of her bottom and more concerned with other erogenous zones.VWEG You are very right not to trust Mr. NN.Very Right Indeed!! That's the company I got our paddle from via Bethie. It's the tournament one at the top (Bethie).Ya feel sunburnt for a couple days after use of that. We made a paddle that's 14" long, the handle is 2" wide and the paddle part is 4" round. It's the same material as the CB. We got it from a kids' wall chart to measure their height growth. It's a little lighter (cause it's smaller) but it has a wicked burn. It's my husbands favorite paddle. We can get 2 paddles out of one wall chart. We bought 2 charts, but we haven't broken it yet, so I think we'll be good for quite a while. |

Thanks for the website for ordering the paddle NOT! I really think the one we ordered from Bethany's is MORE than I need. Not that my husband would agree. Especially since I am such a well behaved young lady who so infrequently does any little thing wrong. (just take my word on that one) |

I bruise rather easily myself, but through experimentation, we have learned the technique is usually more important than the impliment. So besides some bright glow, there is nothing left except the memories. "Queen of Innocence""

I've always refered to the tournament style paddles, paddle-ball paddles. I'm not sure if that is what they are really called, but they are classic. Growing up, we got them in every Christmas stocking and in every Easter basket, so they were always around...when needed. I know it's silly, but back then we called them "heinie paddles". I sometimes still do. |

They were originally called Fly-Back or Bolo Boards. For many years they were made cheaply and would break or crack quickly. The Cracker Barrel chain brought back the high quality version of the toy about 10 years ago. Genuine paddle ball paddles are larger and more evil. Check out the CB on steroids thread to see a true paddle ball paddle that had career change when I discovered it in my soon to be wife's closet 27 years ago. TD perhaps at that point still viewed it as a harmless toy. Then comes in Teddy with a different use in mind. I'm not supposed to touch any of the implements, but what he does not know won't hurt him will it. **WEG** One CB paddles Mr. B owns all of a sudden decided to grow pink fuzz on it one day that made it a more friendly paddle in my opinion. The Spice of Life is having my OWN WAY!! A spanking would be nice.

TD actually used it to play (gulp) Paddle Ball at the rec center. I immediately saw it's potential to er multi-task. In the years since its inaugural effort at attitude adjustment it has certainly grown into its new role. Enjoy all Every Challenge is An Opportunity

I posted the link for online ordering because it seems the paddles are often hidden at the Cracker Barrel stores or they no longer order them. That way even if you don't have a Cracker Barrel nearby or one that doesn't keep them handy, you can still share in the joy. Heh. |

Well I gave Steve the paddle. I was amazed how fast the ball came off! He tried it a little in the kitchen and then wanted to move upstairs. I was impressed with this implement. It has been a long time since my husband gave me such a long and thorough spanking. My hiney is still warm. I think it fits in his hand a lot better than other implements. He seemed to have a "lift" or "spring" with it being a lighter wood and was able to spank comfortably for longer than usual. I will give it an A+. Our is the Classic one and I may do a little decorating to it (just a little paint or a phrase. LOL! Anyhow...thats my update. |

Badwife: Check the links at the begining of the thread. You can order from there. Many Cracker Barrel's hide them or don't keep them in stock. Keep checking or use the link to order. We found ours in with the childrens toys in a barrell. They are toys right?? Of course they are. What paddle comes with a ball attached? Mr. B refuses to take the ball off the paddles, so I think they should remain as toys. (Message edited by beachley on October 06, 2005) The Spice of Life is having my OWN WAY!! I'm glad to see this thread revised, because being new here, I would've missed it. I have this paddle, and several more put away for gifts, but was disappointed by the strength of it, as a spanking implement. The idea to glue two together...might work! K |

You have the actual paddle shown by Bethie above? And you're disappointed by the strength? Have you tried it from the other end of it, as in on yourself? That thing is solid and heavy for a paddle ball paddle. I couldn't imagine two glued together. YIKES!! |

Babyj, I hate that you feel left out. I surely would've thought Cracker Barrel would sell these online, but I didn't see it, on their site. Levenger used to have one, although more expensive, and I couldn't find that either. So I searched under "paddleball paddle AND toy" and came up with not only the Cracker Barrel one (the exact one sold in the stores), but I found a nice evil plastic one too, for only $2.99. Anyway, for the Cracker Barrel one, try the website "funforalltoys" dot com. It's in the "just for fun" category, and it's item number FFA188 at $7.99. Let us know if you buy one. Oh...and Amazon kept coming up too, so they might be worth a look, although most products seem to be related to paddles and canoes...go figure. K |

If you follow this link, (Sorry, link no longer valid ), (the same as in my original post), it will take you directly to a page that sells several different types of paddleballs. The Classic and Tournament style seem to be the ones that you'll usually find in the Cracker Barrel stores. We have the Tournament style btw.
