Alright, to me this seems like a slightly strange request, but I remember slight requests such a these being made when I was here before. So anyways I shall continue. I was seperated from the AF which means I am now home with pretty much nothing except for the pay I received while in basic (for freaking four months) So. the thing is I want to do the following things: Start excersising (walking/situps/pushups whatever..). Get a job (preferably at the post office, and that's something I need to do soon) And start classes at the community college (with that I can start classes online, I'd have to get on the ball with the 'homework', but I have to wait for the spring schedule) Anyways my request is to have someone kind of 'on top' of all of that that would kind of give me an 'incetive' to do want. I know perhaps this is something I should ask someone who is here right now but I'm having some problems with that part. Anyways anything anyone can pretty much think of will help. And anyone willing to help, please keep in mind that I'm still in the military mind set. |

Alright now. Either there is no one there willing to help me with this....just as well because I don't think anyone here could get me to do any of those things anyways. It's just surprising that no one even ventured a small comment. |

Unfortently at this moment I don't really have someone. Well, I do, but it won't be for long...kinda long story. So that's why I'm asking on here. |

Hi, Blulizrdboots. Life is sure changing fast for you. Ohhhh, to be young again. You want to start exercising, get a job and go back to school. Do you really need to choose between these...or can you do them all? Why not start with exercise every day? This should be part of our daily life anyway, and every little bit you do will benefit you in one way or another. The slightest effort is good for you. As for getting a job...in most cases, when you run outta money, you won't have much of a choice, but to get a job. Go for the job you desire. Take the tests needed to join the Post Office, and get on the list. You won't get the job, if you don't start somewhere. In the meantime, try a part time job in something you'd enjoy. Why wait until Spring to go to School? A semester starts in a couple of months, and take one class. Don't start with a tough class, but something you have sincere interest in. Make it fun, to get back in the swing of things. You can get with the Financial Aid office today, to find out what benefits you might be eligible for to help with paying for classes. You really can do it all! And guess what...YOU can be the one to develop your own incentives. You'll feel better exercising, being productive with a job...and you'll be totally smart going back to school. It's a WIN,WIN,WIN situation, as I see it. K PS I didn't start college until I was 27, and I still haven't found my dream job. Not too late for me either. I DO exercise everyday, and it completely changed my life. |

Babyj: Sorry I think I've gotten confused somewhere. Not sure what 'problem' you're talkin' about. Ftopinmichigan: Thanks for the insite. I know the ecercising is something I should start up myself. It's just actually...starting. As for the school, the next schedule is the spring schedule. ~L~ |

I guess different areas have different schedules. In Michigan, most colleges have four full semesters. The Fall semester starts in September usually, Winter in January, and Spring, usually in March. I never could remember when Summer came in , cause by that time, they all ran together. I guess with Winter not even here yet, it just seems Spring is very far away. I hope you're able to enjoy it all. K |
