My Dom and I both still live with our families because of our age. Because of this, it can be increadibly hard for us to do what we need to. Our biggest concern is noise- not that I cry or scream, but the sound of his hand/belt ect hitting me has made more noise than expected on more than one occasion. My question is this, are there any spanking toys or techniques that really minimise noise so he and I won't have to worry about people hearing us? |

I suggest turning the shower on or the radio load. there really isn't any way to minamize sound, you could cover it though. how old are you? Babyj- worlds cutest little brat!

I've been told that the cane is very quiet. However...I don't like the cane...actually I'm scared to death of it. I have a teen-age daughter so I know all about the noise thing. We have to wait until she is asleep. She has asked a couple of times about the noise, and I was as honest as I could be..she now used head phones to listen to music or the tv before she goes to sleep. |

Noise is a problem here, too. Music won't be enough to muffle it. Actually, when my former partner and I were still young enough to live at home, we had the best privacy ever - working parents. We were both still in school, so got home earlier. A risk, but one we took often. We also rented local motel rooms. No one ever asked any questions, although I'm sure we were overheard. We've just gotten a flogger. It makes less noise than a hand or paddle, but it's also gentler (at least the one we have). A riding crop also doesn't make as much noise. Neither are as cheap as a palm or paddle, alas. Good luck! |

well my daughter is 16..and when she came to live with me...I had to explain that my new husband and I lived a different kind of life style then her dad and I did. She understood..but we still try to keep her from hearing to much. She works week-ends and is out late that helps...and like I said she has been told. It was a hard conversation for me to have with her, I also gave her some stuff to read. So she knows about our life style but I still want to shield her from it as much as I can. I mean...it does embarass me that she has heard. |

My daughter is a sound sleeper too. It did embarass me to tell her. But I'm glad I did. Thankfully my little one is to young to know or understand and she sleeps VERY soundly. |

She said "Okay mom if thats what you want in your life" Then she said something about it being kinda strange..and I said something about her finding her own way when she grows up. I also told her that this life style is between just us...not something for her to tell other people. She laughed and said..."like I would tell anyone that my stepdad spanks my mom. jeezee mom do you think I dumb or something?" You know I was scared for her to know at first...but then she commented on how nice it was that my husband and I don't fight or argue hardly at all, her dad and I fought all the time. I explained that this life style had a lot to do with it. He doesn't get mad and hold a grudge...he spanks me when I've messed up. There are NO bad feelings after. My daughter seems to understand that this works for us. |

I'm pretty selfconsious too....but I had to let her know what she would be living with it was only fair....I just jumped right into the conversation and kept going before I could think about it. It was the only way I could get through it. |

The VBB? Quiet? Wolfie was kind enough to buy Squire one, and give it to him in Vermont this weekend. I didn't notice whether or not the implement was quiet, but I sure wasn't when I was getting paddled with it! |

In reading the thread, I'm surprised, because I think all the toys mentioned are quite loud. But perhaps it's how I'M using them. The quietest toy I've heard (or NOT heard, as the case may be) is the Loopy Johnny. (I make my own version, called the KLoopy and it's my favorite gift to friends, and my best seller) You can get the Loopy Johnny on Adam and Gillians online. It's a smaller toy that is made up of three loops of a rubberlike material. Think of a rubber like in an o-ring. The toy itself is VERY quiet. The spankee...is NOT! K |

I was thinking about making a purchase online, and some don't like to do that, for privacy reasons, and then I thought about the OPs age, and the fact that you may not have the availability to charge it. Anyway...here's an idea, to make a toy yourself. Purchase some leather/suede lace. It comes on a spool (or wrapped on a card), and is available at craft stores. You can use electrical tape for the handle, or wrap the lace 'round and 'round to make a handle. When I say lace, I mean it to be more like a shoe lace....a long string of leather. Cut it to twice the length you'd like it to be. I'd recommend at least 12 inches for swinging, and 4-6 inches for a grip. So...if you make it 12 plus a 4 inch grip, you'll want each strand will be cut to measure 32 inches (that's 2 x 16). Cut as many as you like. You will feel only one strand, but I'd recommend at least three (which will give you a half dozen falls). Combine the strands, and with having them even, fold them in half. Wrap the electrical tape at the folded end, to form a handle. If you use the lace itself, wrap it tightly, row by row, around the lace strands. (I would recommend a little white glue to the strands, to secure the handle, as you wrap it. Also, to make things easier, you can put tiny rubber bands to secure it, before wrapping to keep from having to pull the strands together.) Is you use glue on the handle, wait for it to dry completely before using it. (Oh, and on the end of the handle, you can just tuck the last strand tip, under the wrapped part. It's not easy, but it'll fit.) Let me know if you make one, and how it works out. K |

The Loopy Johnny is as evil as you want it to be. Yes, it can sting, but it can also kiss. It's all in technique. I don't know if you'll find a quieter implement, with the impact options that it offers. I don't see ANY implement being good for a "beginner." The hand works best. If the noise is too loud with the hand, try using a leather glove on the hand, and spank to the rhythm of music. It'll be easily blended then. K PS As a suggestion...don't play "Wipe Out" |

Yeah, you never asked about how noisy the implement would make the spankee. That's a whole other thread. |
