Ok Uh. My husband of 12 years told me about a week ago that he wants to spank me. It seemed like an odd request so I've been doing some research on it and it appears its a pretty common thing actually. But I'm not really sure what to expect. From what I've been reading I guess you guys would call me a "vanilla". Any other vanillas out there that gave in to their partner's desires and if so how did it go?
He hasn't brought it up since. How to bring the subject back up without embarassing him? I think I may have had a confused and/or surprised look on my face when he first proposed it. He was quite serious & I was surprised because he had never mentioned it before. Why after 12 years?
He's always kind of joked around about it. He's told me a few times before that if I didn't do something that he was going to "spank my behind" but I just kind of figured it was his way of joking around. I guess he was actually hinting & it just flew over my head...

Welcome but I'm sorry I can't help you with your question. I have always been curious about spanking but if this helps at all, it might seem a bit odd at first, but it just might be an enjoyable experience!

Welcome Janeycameron! Maybe you should give it a try...if you don't like it tell him immediately! Spanking is not for everyone and that if okay, but you'll never know until you try it! I'm sorry I can't say much more in the topic, but I really have no expirience in this particular subject. |

Hi, Janeycameron. Don't wait! I've been a spanko since I was about four. Many of us knew at a very early age, but didn't know what it was all about. When the old movie "Animal House" came out, my then boyfriend, whispered into my ear, during the frat paddling scene, that he wanted to do "that" to me. I was horrified that he said that, and it didn't excite me, it made me pretend I didn't hear him. He never brought it up again. Well...to push WAAAAAAAYYYYYY ahead...it wasn't until almost twenty years later that I finally came to enjoy my interest. Don't wait!  If you want to try it....do it, or you'll either regret it, or think about it more than you need to.

I like to explain to those not into the spanking world that asking a " vanilla" like yourself to get spanked is a bit like being gay. To us in the spanking world we think of spanking and other aspects of D/s completely normal but to those who who do not understand and like it, it is very different. Using pain for pleasure is a hard concept for those not into it to grasp and understand and sometimes agree with.
I would assume that if you are married for 12 years, that you love and TRUST your husband.I would further assume that he would NOT do ANYTHING to hurt you either physically or emotionally. If you like, try it out and see what happens. You could find it erotic and fun and in time , find it to be a nice addition to your love life.

Well Of course I trust him completely so thats not an issue. I find the idea a little exciting but maybe thats because its something new & different. (I'm not sure what to think yet) I think I will entice him into it later (as playfully as possible) and just kinda go from there.. Thanks for the insight.. |

Hi Janey, welcome to the den. One way to bring it up without embarrassment to him, would be to bait him with something like 'what are you going to do about it' if he mentions spanking, just place yourself over his lap and let him make the next move. I was the vanilla in our relationship, but had a desire or fascination about spanking that I had never explored because of its taboo in mainstream society. Thats my two cents for what they are worth..(I know its worth 2 cents)
