Has anyone else gotten a lot of unsolicited proposals after joining this site? I know we're all here for the same interest, but I'm surprised how many...."will you spank me" e-mails I'm getting. I miss the time when people actually introduced themselves, and got to know someone before becoming so very forward, and suggestive. Another thing I noticed was that I'm getting SPAMMED like crazy. This is the only new site I've joined, and I don't visit the web much anymore, so I'm thinking someone's got a line on members here...maybe. Anyone else get inundated with SPAM after signing up here? Most seem related to F**K friends, or loans/mortgages. Thank goodness for SPAM guards. K |

Proposals? Let's see, I only sent out one I think! She should be honored not offended...lol I don't see this site being as much an introduction for meetings as a discussion type of site, from my short time here. Spam in e-mail? I'd have to say, as a heavy internet user, that all my email addresses are bombarded with this type of spam and not just the one I post in my profile. Is IT Better To Give Than To Recieve?

Oh, Fanny...I think your "crushed heart" trumps my unsolicited proposals and spam. I'm sorry that happened to you! K PS On the lighter side...your note reminds me of the Visa commercial a bit. |

Maybe the word crushed is too strong, how about ripped out, stomped on and kicked across the room? Queen of Innocence "Well behaved woman rarely make history"

I havent noticed any increase in spam since joining this site, perhaps you should consider installing an anti spam program on your computer. Symantec makes a good one that filters out pretty much everything. (Message edited by zippo on December 16, 2005) The Brat Tamer...changing brats attitudes one smack at a time

Fanny, I'm sorry to hear about that. As for the spamming, I don't see how it could have come from here since I'm adamant about not letting anyone's email addys show anywhere on the board and I've asked members more than once to please not post their personal email addys. If there is a member who is getting email addys for spamming purposes, I need to know so I can stop them. It's something I won't allow here. As for the unsolicited proposals, that's a problem I've been trying to deal with personally as it comes up. If you get an unsolicited pm, there is a link to click on after the message to report it to me. Even if it doesn't bother you, I'd like to know if I have members who are doing this too much. I want us to be a friendly group and get to know one another, but there are appropriate ways of going about this and sending suggestive pm's to members you don't know isn't it. Thanks for bringing this up since it gives me a chance to remind y'all to speak up if there's anything going on you have a question about. Thanks! |

I have not had a problem with spam or unsolicited emails or proposals since I have been here. |
