Hi. I'm Xie. I'm 21 years old and a college student studying biology. I'm awful about these introductions, so.. I'll just ramble a bit, but take away from this "hi"
Gosh, I have had a spanking fetish for as long as I can remember. Even to the point where I recall my Barbies playing spanking games. ^_^; I think sometimes I was one of those little kids like in Brave New World X.x. Ah well, a gram is better than a damn, right? ^_~
I have been in one long term Ds relationship--a 3 year one with a man whom I left a year ago (4 days short of a year ^-^!) when it became clear that the line between domestic discipline and emotional abuse had, at some point been crossed. It turned me off of D/s for some time, admittedly but I've recently gotten back into it.
I lurked on a few blogs posting comments under an assumed name "Xia" for a while when I was with him, hovered at Laura's spanking corner, but I've never really stepped out and admitted it to others that this is part of who I am.
I came out of the closet in October, and a lot of that did force a dialogue on countless aspects of my sexuality, not just gender. I have seen a lot through the LGBT community that there is a general openess and matter of fact nature about kink. I actually had a conversation with my roommate wherein a book I had bought which contained a chapter on S&M play had a picture of one woman spanking another. I blushed, too allured and terrified people would know that I was looking at a picture of spanking, but.. then she said "What? It's just spanking?"
I'm not about to go shouting on the rooftops what I need, what I love, but the book has inadvertently made me accepting and even enthusiastic about another aspect of myself I had been content to brush aside.
I'm delighted to finally have the courage to come here. I hope to make some lovely acquaintances.

Ah, the banes of my existence ^-^;;
I'm more enamored personally with Biology. Or as I like to call it "the girly science." Had horrid chemistry teachers when I took it both in high school and college, a half-wit and a misogynist respectively ^_^;. Did splendidly in the labs though |

Hello Xie, welcome! And may I say, good for you for not letting a bad relationship damage something you enjoy so much! That certainly says something about your personal strength, so kudos to you!
I remember when this was all new to me, and how weird I felt about wanting to be spanked. Then I started to research the web and realized how normal these feelings were! I had no idea so many were into this, much less those who live in a 24/7 spanking relationship with a partner(s)! However, when you look at the entire BDSM spectrum, we are definitely on the tamer end (no pun intended LOL).
