I am heading back home tomorrow and it will take me many days to try and catch up. Most of you will be happy to know that even though I did not cause any international incidents, I did get caught in the midst of a Korean riot that I promise you I had no part in. I did happen to misplace (and eventually) get back my video camera (left in a taxi) my still camera, my credit card (left in a spa) and temporarily my passport. I broke four contact lenses (all my left eye) and had to have my hysband express mail me new ones along with my thyroid medication that I somehow ran short on.

Okay, I am back home now and yes, I had a wonderful time. Those little "accidents" happen all the time, they weren't going to stop me from enjoying myself.
I'm glad to be back home, but I am going to miss the friend I was visiting immensely

yep, that is one thing I live for. I have a great love of people and am very close to many and very, very close to a few.
After loosing my mother and my sister within 12 weeks, I am appreciating time with loved ones all the more.

It's good to see you again, I was beginning to worry about you!
It sounds like you had an exciting trip mixups and all. But I can't quite believe you were in an area where a riot broke out and you had absolutely nothing to do with it. I know you better than that!

I promise you Bethie, I had NOTHING to do with the riot. I hadn't been there long enough yet.  I don't even speak Korean.....hey, maybe I was part of the riot and just didn't know it!

Oh, I do believe there is definately something about the presence of "inborn" brats that brings out the best of times. I think that is what makes our lives for fun than those who are more conventional.

Same back to you Wolfie, it is wonderful to escape the real world, even if it is for a limited time. When I am traveling it is nice to not think about the issues we have been through. Of course, they hit you like a brick wall when you return, but I can live in a fantasy world for awhile and love it.
