A question for all of you..at what point does spanking stop for you? Do you stop when your cheeks are red or do you keep going until the point of extreme pain? Personally I stop before my butt begins to blister! When the pain becomes a litle too intense, it's time to call it quits..as long as I have a red bottom, i'm good to go. But I know everyone is different so please share...what is your telltale sign that spanking time is over?

I personally never call the end of the spanking. Since I am in a long term realtionship, he knows by my actions/reations when the spanking is enough. I think he waits for just the correct change in my attitude, posture et cetera, even when the spanking is done in fun. There have been a few times when he decided that the spanking wasn't over, afterall. I question whether that was his intent all along though.

I have to agree with Fanny on this one - "R" and I have been together for so long - the man can read me like a book! It all depends on the type of spanking he gives too. An erotic spanking - well, that can go on and on and on...*giggle*
A badgirl spanking, on the other hand, is to correct or change a behavior - my bottom tends to be a lot redder, and a whole lot more sore!

If the spanking is for something I did then he uses a timer and i never know what he sets it for. if the spanking is for keeping me inline and not a discipline spanking, then I have some safe words, red, means stop, yellow ease up but don't stop and green, please don't stop. but we have been together for 7 years and he knows pretty much on how much I can handle.

For me it is quite simple, either the spanking stops when he feels I "have learned my lesson" or if I should say my safe words, which I have never had to do. I know he would never continue the spanking if he saw anything that looked like the spanking was going on too long or that he might inflict anything permanent. If for some reason he chooses to call the discipline over before he is convinced I have learned my lesson, he will stay "to be continued" and enforce some other kind of discipline such as no computer, curfew, etc.  |

Well, since we do erotic...I think he spanks me until I'm ready and he can't possibly wait another second.
