DA VINCI CODE Written across the wall of the cave were the following symbols: It was considered a unique find and the writings were said to be at least three thousand years old! The piece of stone was removed, brought to the museum, and archaeologists from around the world came to study the ancient symbols. They held a huge meeting after months of conferences to discuss the meaning of the markings. The President of the society pointed to first drawing and said: "This is a woman. We can see these people held women in high esteem. You can also tell they were intelligent, as the next symbol is a donkey, so they were smart enough to have animals help them till the soil. The next drawing is a shovel, which means they had tools to help them." Even further proof of their high intelligence is the fish which means that if a famine hit the earth and food didn't grow, they seek food from the sea. The last symbol appears to be the Star of David which means they were evidently Hebrews The audience applauded enthusiastically. Then a little old Jewish man stood up in the back of the room and said, "Idiots, Hebrew is read from right to left...... It says: 'Holy Mackerel, Dig The Ass On That Chick ! Take my heart and soul. But please don't step on it, it breaks easily.

The only way I could deliver is swimming it over. It would get soggy. APPLE CRISP (my OWN recipe!) * 2 cups all-purpose flour * 2 cups rolled oats * 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon * 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg * 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar * 1 1/2 cups butter * 2 quarts peeled, cored and sliced apples 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). 2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, oatmeal, cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar. Cut butter into mixture until crumbly. 3. Take half of the mixture and pat it into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. 4. Cover crumb mixture with apple slices, then sprinkle apple slices with remaining crumb mixture. 5. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 to 50 minutes or until apples are tender. Take my heart and soul. But please don't step on it, it breaks easily.

Shylah, your recipe sounds very much like Apple Crumble which is an old traditional English dish. It doesn't have the mix on the bottom though just on the top and it doesn't have oats in it. I do it with slices of apple alternated with sugar and cinnamon then topped with a mix of flour, sugar and butter, stick in oven until the top is 'crumbly'. Sounds basically the same doesn't it? And yes, it would be soggy if you had to swim it over, but seeing as I am in England as well, I could volunteer to taste it on everybody's behalf. To everybody not in UK. I foresee spankings........LOTS of spankings

makes a mental note - if a punishment is ever needed for Butterfly84 - then making her bake/cook in the kitchen would be appropriate and fun ;) BY the way - make sure you send a slice over here |
