Hey. I just ordered a fraternity paddle with beveled holes and it came today. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the difference between beveled and non-beveled holes? Just curious because I wanted to order one with holes but those were the only options. I tried it today and Jake didn't even swing as hard as he does with our other paddles but man, did this one sting! Please sir, I don't need a spanking. I'll be good, I promise!

Holes in a paddle could cause blood blisters. I think beveled holes are easier on you as far as blistering is concerned. I read something about that but I can't remember off hand what is was. I'll see if I can find it. |

A non-beveled hole is just a straight hole drilled through the paddle. This results in a 90 degree edge around the circumference of the hole, which can cut and cause blisters and such like Kennysspankee mentioned. A beveled hole is "smoothed" out at the edge. Most commonly, a 45 degree edge will be cut around the circumference of the hole so that there's not that sharp edge. I'd go for the beveled holes personally. Take it from me beveled holes are easier on you than a paddle with non-beveled holes. As Kennysspankee said paddles with non-beveled holes can cause blood blisters...I am currently still healing from blood blisters from a paddle that had non-beveled holes. |

I got spanked today with a paddle with non-beveled holes and 1) It hurt like hell and 2) When I was 'inspecting' my butt afterwards, I noticed little red circles outlined with just the tiniest bit of blood! Non-beveled holes are downright mean. And to think I actually bought her that paddle, put cloth tape on the handle part for her. Then today in a fit of feeling fiesty, I challenged her threat to use the paddle on me with, "I'll bring you one." And I did. She noticed the cloth tape on the handle and commented on it, to which I replied sarcastically, "Well, anything to help you make it hurt this time." I regretted that statement after the very first swat. And she remembered that statement throughout the spanking. After I showed her my behind, she smiled and patted my bottom and told me that I shouldn't be bad. However she did grant my request to sand down the holes for future spankings. "Stixn'Stones Luv"

I agree with Rex138, non-beveled holes are downright mean. I did about the same thing to the Dom who was spanking me with that mean paddle and I basically "got what I deserved" at least in his eyes ...I never have disagreed with any discipline spanking given to me except this one because of the marks that this particular paddle with holes in it left. |

Tere is a HUGE difference between beveled and non-beveled holes when they make contact with the skin. When you use a non-beveled paddle, the skin on the surface is slightly pinched when the paddle makes actual contact, making the blood blisters and little red holes. When the beveled holed paddle makes contact with the skin, there is not as much pinching as the skin can asorb into the beveled holes more easily and not get pinched as much. One thing you did find out is that paddles with holes either beveled or not, deliver a lot more sting than regular paddles without holes. The idea is with less wind resistance with the holes, a easier swing makes the paddle with holes fly faster and impact harder making more sting OWWWW!!!!! I hope this helps. J |

Yes, I certainly learned my lesson with the paddle with holes; it is certainly faster and adds a lot more sting! Thanks to everyone for their information! Please sir, I don't need a spanking. I'll be good, I promise!

Hmm -- Crosses off any paddle with holes from my Christmas List. I know I have a Hog Slapper coming from Santa. I hope it is something I will like as we usually play. The Spice of Life is having my OWN WAY!! A spanking would be nice.

We only have one paddle with holes...its more or less a "ping pong" paddle size and shape and is a smooth black finished wood. Definitely stings, but not overly harsh. Its a great OTK toy due to its size. I keep threatening my wife that I'm going to make a special paddle for her sometime (woodwoorking is one of my hobbies). It will definitely have holes, and they'll be suitable bevelled. Maybe once I have a proper workshop. As you slide down the banisters of life may the splinters never point the wrong way. Like I said we only have the one with holes, thank god... We have a plethora of paddles and straps, but only one paddle with holes. Although we did just get a strap with holes and it's very stingy. It actually leaves white marks on the skin where the holes were; it's a funny contrast with the red stripes on the bottom! Please sir, I don't need a spanking. I'll be good, I promise!
