Hi all, I have some pics and want to choose one to go on my ID, what software is best for resizing the pics, thanks. |

I use Irfanview (www.irfanview.com) for basic resizing of most images. For animated images, I use different software. It all depends on what needs to be resized. What are you trying to resize, a jpeg or gif, and is it animated? |

Thanks for the tip Bethie, I used the link and have downloaded the software, I'll look into that tomorrow. I wanted to try to reduce a jpeg. I'll see how it goes with a still pic before trying an animated one |

I tried resizing a jpeg with irfanview which was ok but it converted my jpeg into a bitmap. Why? I don't know,and I was wondering if this has happened to anyone elses photos |

I have thrown out Irfanview and replaced it with another free software. PIXresizer, it easier to use and and takes up less space 
All depends on how you feel and if your right or left handed
