We have a lovely leather slapper I found in a horse/tack shop, its like a cross between a slim paddle and a crop...very yummy at times.
There are some wonderful ideas on "wolfie's birthday spanking" in the contest area Peach, feel free to borrow them.

Thanks for all the great ideas , as I'm sill topping from the bottom so to speak . I want to buy a new toy for him to use on me. Peach, I have some suggestions for you. We have a short crop that I love, it's short enough for otk and has a wide slapper that feels great. Because it's wider, I like it better than the bigger ones we have with the thin slappers. JT's also offers a crop with a longer slapper.
If you're looking for an easy to handle paddle but don't want a wooden one, I can suggest one of my favorites; the leather fraternity paddle, also from JT's. If you want something smaller and with less sting, try one of the rounder ones. It just depends on what you're wanting from a paddle. I like lots of sting btw.
I figure since you're just starting out, he may be more comfortable with toys that are easy to control and aim like the crop. Now you just have to figure out what you want out of your spankings and buy the appropriate toys. You may have to do some experimentation as well, and that's not always a bad thing.
One nice thing about having more toys is that he can mix them up when he gives you those special birthday spanks. Good luck! |

Ooooh, well, d'you know, thinking about it, He always starts off with the flogger (my favourite pink latex one!) then a heavier flogger and then I get spanked and caned....so in reality, I must be approaching the 40+ stage by the time we progress to the "other" bit

I bought a starter kit for going away recently. It's really neat and very non-threatening (Shylah, I'm thinking of you now). The restraints (4) are velcro (Eazi-cuffs), it has 2 over the door hangers and 4m (12 yds) of black bondage rope. It all comes in a little box, which is about the size of a milk carton. (IYSWIM)! My friend and mentor also said if you use the hangers over two doors opposite each other in a corridor, you could have a nice St.Andrews cross.

Peach, here's a nice birthday paddle for you! I actually used to buy these for parties and they come with a pen for people to sign and the brave to use. They're light so they're almost useless but it can be fun if you're with the right group of people. 
Have you found any suitable toys yet? I'm anxious to hear what you've found.

In the event some spanko wants a paddle to use, go with lexan. It is durable and last a long time to come. For a rememberable sting to the (_!_), drill 1/4"-3/8" holes and chamfer them. |
