Hubby and I have always been proud owners of big dogs over the years (Goldens, Shepards,..). Right now we have "Jake" who is an 84 pound Golden Retreiver/Chow mix - age 10 years in March.

Here is my dilemma......I now work for a veterinarian and am exposed to ALL kinds of pups - I seem to have fallen in love with the smaller breed - cockers, dachsaunds, beagles and the like. I would love to get another dog, but my husband thinks that "Jake" will be jealous and hurt the new addition.

Has anyone here ever added a new dog to the family where an older dog (mine is spoiled I admit)already lives? Just want some feedback....

thanks all
