: How Smart is your Right Foot! HOW DOES IT DO THAT It is freaky..... How smart is Your Right Foot ? ? Just try this. It is from an orthopedic surgeon............ This will boggle your mind and you will keep trying over and over again To see if you can outsmart your foot, but, you can't. It's preprogrammed In your brain! 1. WITHOUT anyone watching you (they will think you are GOOFY......) and while sitting where you are at your desk in front of Your computer, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise Circles. 2. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right Hand. Your foot will change direction. I told you so!!! And there's nothing you can do about it! You and I both know how stupid it is, but before the day is done you are Going to try it again, if you've not already done so. Send it to your buddies to frustrate them too. I tried to get my hubby to try it. He just looked at me like I was crazy. I thought it was fun to try and see who I could get to try it. "Success in almost any field depends more on energy and drive than it does on intelligence." Sloan Wilson

I must be wierd. My foot didn't change. My hubby thought I was having a fit or something. I tried to get him to do it and he just shook his head and went to get another coffee muttering something. Take my heart and soul. But please don't step on it, it breaks easily.

This phenomenon is caused by an overflow of stimulation via neurotransmitters from the well-organized part of the brain that is causing your hand to make the "6" to the part of the brain (less well wired) that is controlling the foot. Usually it is better for the general movement of our hands and our feet to be at least somewhat coordinated so it is usually a good thing that both your right hand and right foot move in the same general direction! |

shylah, buena, you are not freaks. well, not because of this anyhow. Many people can get their brain to work on two independent tasks, without confusing them. Mostly it's just a matter of training. If either of you play an instrument, or do something like that, it would explain it. Random Trivia I Know..... |

At the first time my foot really changed direction, but from the second try on - paying a little more attention - it worked without any changes. |
