Hello all! I am very new to all this. I'm 29 and I've fantasized about getting a spanking for years, but only just recently worked up the courage to tell my new husband. He has been enthusiastic about swatting during sex and yesterday gave me my first spanking as foreplay. He doesn't understand why I would want it to hurt - so he was pretty gentle - but I'm hoping that he will eventually get more comfortable with it. I have to admit it is hard for me to blatantly ask for what I want because I'm afraid he'll say no or think that I'm twisted or weird. so I guess I need to get more comfortable too! |

Hello and welcome Piper, relationships like this take patience and lots of time for experience. Most of us here have tried many ways of expressing ourselves through spanking and we keep the activities we like and forget the others or file them away to try again much later on. A spanking relationship is dynamic, not stagnant, so it can be forever changing or transforming.
You will likely both get more comfortable with what you are doing, and as we always say communicate with your husband on what you like or dislike and encourage him to do the same. Fantasy is not always what we imagine it will be like, so don't get discouraged if things don't go the way you think it should right away.
You may want to check some of the older threads, some possibly in the archives by now, as this subject has been discussed at length. Many of us in long term spanking relationships still have a hard time bringing up what we want to happen, so you are certainly not alone with this feeling.

You sound so much like me when i first came here a year ago. My hubby and i havd been together 19 years and it was still hard for me to tell him what i wanted. Your gonna love it here. You will find lots of great advice ,  the people are all wonderful.
