I’m a 52 year old guy and I like to be spanked. I’ve only had this desire for the last couple of years. I’m trying to figure out why after all these years, it happened. Have I always had this within me? Or did I learn to like it. Why do I like it?
About 5 years ago, my second child went to college. Having no children around does wonders for renewing the sex life. At some point, this phase of our lives led to spanking. I have always made the moves and it excites me when my wife is aggressive in bed. Now it is something I constantly think about and desire. It seems to be more important to me than just spicing up our/my sex life.
So did I always want to be spanked? And why do I like it so much? |

Hi Alan, Most (all?) of us here have learned that we cannot really answer why we like spanking so much, so don't feel the need to analyze it.
Possibly there are two situations going on that are contributing to your interest. When we spend a huge amount of our time in the role of parents, many of our personal desires go to the back burner, and when parenting is no longer a moment to moment experience, we allow ourselves the time to explore our desires.
Secondly, mid-life is a time when we have matured enough that we feel comfortable experimenting. It is no secret that most people need a bit more excitement to get the blood flowing after years of everyday experiences. Any counselor will tell you that trying new activities is what keeps us going in the "second half" of our lives.
I think it is impossible to guess if you had this latent desire for many years, and it doesn't matter. It sounds as if it is working for you, so just go with it.
Thanks for posting this question though, as it is a legitimate one and no doubt, one that other members have wondered about themselves.

I think spanking or any kind of sex or preference is the same as whether you like chocolate or vanilla ice cream. We don't choose our sexuality or our interests, they choose us.
<edit for underage reference> this was always an erotic outlet for me. But, since I was raised in a Christian household, sex was a BIG No-No. It has taken me YEARS to accept this part of myself. And I still have issues with it. I am still embarrassed about it. Luckily, writing spanking fiction has helped loosen me up. And now I'm loosened to the point where I tell prospective agents and editors what I write and just in the past year, they've been actively looking for spanking fiction and don't think I'm weird at all. They think I'm a source of income.
