I've been struggling with the concept of having a dom who is attentive to my bottom, and a lover who enjoys making love. I seriously like the idea of answering to a dom, but don't want that kind of thing with a lover. Is it possible to have both? |

Anything is possible and you would not be the first to do it. You will need, however, to work this all through first in your head. Finding the right person to love and the right dom are both difficult tasks.

There are going to be some members who will disagree with me, but I don't think people can be "trained". There have been many discussions in the Den, and you can go through many other threads and the archieves. This topic has been talked about a lot. Most people are either into spanking or not, and it is as difficult to change that opinion as it is to change your's (or mine) about any other topic. For example, I don't like to eat lobster and so many friends have tried to convince me that I will love it, if I just change my mindset. Sorry, it doesn't work.
Most of us who are in love relationships with our "Doms" realized that they were both into the lifestyle before they met one another. Luck, forums, get togethers or mutual friends have made it possible for couple to get together. Finding the right person is not easy.
If you happen to have a lover who has an interest in spanking, you will learn and grow together with experience. No two relationships will be the same, nor will it necessarily stay the same, especially over time.
