I just read a story that had the wife...(submissive) kiss the paddle that had just been used on her. After kissing it she had to thank her husband for the spanking.
Anyone ever do that??
I sure haven't kissed the belt that is used on me.
My thoughts... I don't THINK so!!! my mumblings would be... (kiss this!!)
I have on occasion thanked my husband for a spanking when I really needed it and he gave it to me. |

There's been none of that here but I do believe I would be fine with it if I was in submissive mode and not some other mode.  Seems to me that it would only heighten and deepen that submissive feeling, yes? |

Kiss the paddle, yes i did, but it was a different mood last night, we haven't had the time and been in the right frame of mind for getting a good old fashioned submissive spankng for almost two weeks, after reading the post I knew Hubby will tell me to kiss the paddle but it took 25 extra good ones before I said yes, I felt silly and laughed while I did it and that cost me another 10 smacks with the paddle. my spankings aren't for discipline but just to take care of my submissive needs. he did tell me I might have to do the next time too but we shall see.

Before my (limited) experiences over the past year, I thought I'd find it degrading. What a joke... I only had to be told two or three times before it wasn't silly and the degrading part was a little bit of the fun. Fanny, You are, I think a bit right. What I hoped to say was something like, this whole thing is a kind of learning process. You and any number of other people may have exact ideas about what you will or will not do. For my part I had never thought about the kissing of implements. Now if I am confronted with a partner that wants that to be part of what we do I have a small point of reference that I didn't have before. I can see kissing my lover's hand.. ...actually no I can't.
There's something deeply submissive and almost animalistic about kissing the implement I think. Very open in acknowledging lust and voicing silently submission. I think I like that about it.
That being said I don't know if I'd see it more in a punitive situation or a sexual one. I know the Roman festival Lupercalia involves kissing a flogger and then being struck by it.

Kissing the implement is a ritual that some partners enjoy as part of their spanking scenes. It's not so much about being a slave or a sub as much as it being part of their routine for whatever reason; discipline, role-play, or role enforcement.
Please refrain from putting down what others do. If you find it distasteful, that's a personal opinion I'd rather you kept to yourself. We're here to support each other, not criticize. And saying you'd find a practice others enjoy "degrading" is a criticism of what they do. Think of it this way, if a vanilla person was to say they'd never degrade themselves by letting someone spank them, how would you feel?

I have been made to kiss the implement on a few occasions, the first time I refused and was spanked hard and fast until I agreed to do as I was told. I don't like having to kiss it but not because I find it degrading or anything just because I am so stubborn and don't like having to do as I am told. Now that my Sir knows I don't like doing it it is bound to crop up more often. At least until he thinks of something else I don't like too much!

One sub who's occasionally spanked with a conductor's baton does indeed "kiss" (in the sense of venerate) the baton when her Dom brings it to her lips after the completion of her spanking. The idea is that this "seals the deal," and now both parties may move forward. The Dom no longer needs to feel anger at the sub for her transgression(s), while the sub has willingly demonstrated that she has accepted her correction--she no longer needs to feel guilty for that which she has done which earned her the punishment in the first place.
But this is just one person's opinion, and I respect those of all participants on this forum.

You know, I've put scenes like this into stories I've written, but I've never had to do it in RL. I've kissed M's hand, and I've found that to be bonding and even erotic, particularly when his palm is still hot from spanking. But in truth I'd probably feel a little silly or self-conscious kissing an implement.
In the story, I believe that to "kiss the implement of your correction" was just a ritual that helped put the sub further into that mindset, much the same way the donning of a collar or harness might do. I don't see the problem with it that a lot of others do, but then I am a top man.
My girlfriend has no issue with it and enjoys it as part of the ritual.
However I get her to kiss the implement or my palm if it is a hand spanking before, rather than after, the spanking, usually the nember of times I am going to spank her.

Kissing the hand isn't a problem for me, I've done it on occasion, but if my boyfriend asked me to kiss an implement I would probably be less than inclined to do so. Like many others here, I am stubborn and it would probably take further prodding for me to do something like that. |
