So....this week has been intresting to say the least!!
I got an ambulance ride with lights and sirens and everything!!!
Seems that the blood pressure problem I keep ignoring finally had it say and I had a mild heart-attack!!
I also had a ct scan of my head (no comments shylah!!) and it also seems that the blood pressure is the cause of the modo headaches I've had the past month.
I now have meds for the blood pressure and the threat of NOT sitting for a week if I forget to take it for even one day. Hubby was VERY serious and it was a promise not a threat!!
Now when I have a minor fit over dumb things...I do this a lot...yell at a computer over the phone when I just want to talk to a person...that kind of thing...I get spanked!! Sheeshh he really wants me to de-stress.
Add salt to my food....spanked again.
Not the fun spankings either.
Life as this 40 something lady knows it is about to change forever!!!! |

Tammy, I am so sorry to hear of your ordeal. How scary this must have been for both of you. I am glad you are starting to take better care of yourself and even more glad you have some to back you up.

I guess I do need to send you that big paddle I promised now. I never could get my wood burner to work right and haven't replaced it but I have a better idea now. I'll just put studs on one side like I did my own. That'll give you lots of inspiration to behave.

What can I say? I was bored one day and I thought it would be cool. I'm not sure, but I must have been either drunk or delirious. Yeah, that's it.
What's really crazy is that I spent a lot of time on that paddle! I measured and marked to make sure the pattern was uniform, and then I carefully hammered in the studs.
Have I mentioned how big it is? Two feet long, 5 inches on the wide end, and 3/4 inch thick. 
Of course, as soon as Dan saw it, he loved it. That paddle was bad enough but now it's extra bad. Which makes it his new favorite toy and he's been using it a lot lately. Before the weekend is out I'm supposed to get a big spanking with it. Unless of course I can get it in the mail to a much more deserving bottom! I think you'll do.  |

Bethie, you seriously did a nice job on that paddle. I love the look of paddles (I know...crazy!) and that one shows a lot of work and precision. Great job.

Thanks for the compliments on the paddle! It's quite a stinger now.
Tammy, you're right, Dan would rather I kept it. In fact, I've been threatened about what would happen if I give it away, throw it away, throw it out the window, throw it in the ocean, or any of the other things I've suggested. 
I still think Tammy's husband needs one so I might make her one just as lovely. Tammy needs the inspiration a paddle like that one can provide.

The multi-trips in an ambulance I have experienced are much more frightening than any paddle, Tammy. You take care of yourself!!

Yes, I've had that experience myself...I was lucky to escape severe retribution when my love found out I'd been ignoring symptoms that led to my hospitalization. Believe me Tammy, it's better to face taking good care of yourself than the fire in your partners eyes, and the promise of a fire on your bottom should you slip up a second time!

Not that I need those paddles cause I HAVE been trying to take care of my self.. I was told last wed I have walking pneumonia and I am simply not getting any better.. BUT monday I upset hubby and he say as soon as I am better I am getting to really hard spankings.. One for not following Dr's order's *he gave me a shot and I drove home when I shouldnt have* and two I argued with hubby later about it. So you can keep the paddles I dont need them to get better, I am already in enough trouble, I simply just want to get better period! Even though I know I am in trouble, I have been sick long enough. It going on six days now, and I still fill the same as I did when I went in monday  |

I'm not buying that one either Tammy.
Ummmm, Bethie, that paddle is....very pretty. Yeah, pretty. I think you need to keep such a pretty paddle to hang on your wall....as art. That's a much better use of it than as an incentive for me. I'm much better about taking care of myself now...honest!
Ladykayra, I hope your doing what you should to get better asap...pneumonia is nothing to mess about with. It can be fatal if ignored...just ask Jim Henson (Muppets). Bedrest, fluids, vitamin C and medication are more important than arguing over a spanking, in my opinion.

Well well well
I finally get out of bed to find Tammy and I both got to get a ride in an ambulance with lights and siren!!
I am DEATHLY alergic to bee and wasp sting...well...ANYTHING that stings. We had been out for the day and on the way home stopped at the grocery store for some stuff we were needing. Got back in the car and felt something hot and painful on my ankle. It was a wasp. I brushed it off and remarked to my hubby that I had been stung. I have told him in the past I was alergic. We started home because I wasn't having any adverse reaction right away. On the way, I started gasping for air. Well, by then it was turn around and head for the ER or carry on to the local dr office which was closer. So that's what we did. By the time we got to the office (after being stuck behind a slow taxi!!) (can you imagine a SLOW taxi?????) I was REALLY gasping for air. On the verge of passing out. The rash was up to my knee. The dr there immediately stuck me with an EPI pen and put me on oxygen and sent for an ambulance.
Things are a bit hazy from there. I remember being put in the ambulance and getting stuck with needles and stuff.
I came around in the ER. Apparently I had been there 4 hours. The hubby looked scared, my best friend was there and I had all kinds of things stuck to me.
I was not amused.
By then I was breathing ok and the blood pressure was normal and I was begging for a drink. 12 hours later I got to go home and had to stay in bed and was finally allowed downstairs today!
So Tammy, YOU take the meds! I need my sis well and healthy when I get back!
And I PROMISE I will ALWAYS keep an EPI pen with me AT ALL TIMES!

My goodness, we are are turning into a medical site!! 
Truthfullly, all fun aside, everyone needs to make their health top priority. We joke and many times do use (and need) the help of someone to remind of us to do so. That said, I don't want anyone to think not taking medications etc. is a good reason to spank. Those of us who enjoy the spanking lifestyle will use it to keep us on the straight and narrow. But anyone who has medical issues and is not in a real life relationship, please do not neglect what you need to do hoping someone will spank you for not doing it. Even if you are in one, don't neglect your life in order to be spanked.
I have been fighting with pneumonia for about a month now. In fact it is delaying surgery I need to have. The times I have been the sickest are the times when spanking goes to the back burner.

Ladykayra and Fanny, I hope you two get better soon! I had "walking" pneumonia in college and that was horrible. Bleh.

Yes, we do seem to be the walking wounded. 
You make a good point Fanny, health issues arent a laughing matter...or really a spanking matter. In my case I was going to doctors with problems, but they were misdiagnosing me and each day I was getting sicker. I should have gone to the hospital on my own...but I was afraid, and stayed stubborn about not going until I had to call an ambulance myself. I know Steve wanted to spank that stubborness right out of me...but he was so happy to have me still alive that all I got was plenty of kisses and cuddles.
And of course the warning that the next time I got stubborn about going to the hospital, I'd be on the gurney on my stomach, trying to explain to the doctors why my bottom was bright red!

I'm alergic to bees too and I do have an epi pen. Everytime I have ever been stung it was in the car!!
Yes Fanny I know what you mean the times I'm the worst off spanking always takes a back burner it has to!!
I'm glad we are all better now and we are all taking care of oursleves!!!

Just a little update, I didnt think I was getting any better so I went to the ER last night, I was coughing up my lungs or so I thought... Seems I no longer have walking pneumonia , but I still have a nasty sinus infection!! How in the world I have one being on two meds is beyond me, but they gave me a shot if steriods last night, and god I feel SOOOOOOOOOOOO much better today..And a cough syrup and I havent coughed all day *knock on wood* my nose hasnt ran and I can breath! And Even though I didnt get any sleep last night I am not *overly* tired. Maybe it was cause I teased hubby the other night and begged him to spank me and he spanked the walking pneumonia right out of me lol.. Who knows, if that was the case, maybe he needs to spank the sinus infection out of me too
Hope everyone else gets better soon too.

Wonder what the hells goin on in the spankee world.My spankees been going from one illness to another all year a lot of it pretty seriousShe had a serious lung infection from easter till july and then last month got sprained ankle that she wouldn,t take care of and was the reason for quite a few punishment spankings!I had her in a wheelchair against her will for a week.Problem with spankees as that they can be careless with their health.(Man who am I kidding I,m still smoking  )Anyway come on girls take care of yourselfs!OK?? |

I guess I feel like I'm doing okay most of the time. I don't always listen to the Dr because I think I know more then he does. I guess it takes something serious for me to pay attention to what the Dr says.
I'm doing what I'm told now...I was scared and don't want to feel that way again. |

Now, BV, some of us spankees take care of ourselves. I, for one, take very good care of myself, do what the docs tell me, and am pretty darn healthy all things considered. My shots are even current!
I catch the occasional bug but that's expected considering the number of people I interact with and the amount of traveling I do. Airplanes are just riddled with germs, I've decided.

In preparation of our move back to the states, I persuaded Himself to take our 2 big computers to a shop in town and we traded them for an excellent laptop!
This thing has Vista and I'm not sure I like it. I suppose I'll get used to it. Anyhow, it's got loads of memory and all that technical stuff that don't mean beans to me but Himself is impressed. All I care about is that it gets me online, don't crash and doesn't take forever to load.
I'm easy.
I'm not cheap but I'm easy.

Vista isnt as bad as you think, actually it's easier to use them any other windows. Simply becareful and don't mess with your keyboard and turn the screen sideways lol.. My husband used to work for Office Depot, and not long after Vista came out I was visiting him at work, bored and waiting for him to get done with something I was messing around with one of the puters.
Nomrally I am a geek so I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing, and before I knew it, the screen was sideways.. I about died.. I got someone else who worked with him to see if he could fix it *Husband was a manager* and he had NO idea what I had did, neither did I for that matter.. So we were messing around with it when my husband came up and asked what we were doing. THANK god I wasn't getting spanked then. LOL
They actually had to pull that puter from the shelve and call someone to figure out how to fix the problem. He wasn't working when it was solved and without thinking he never had anyone tell him what to do.. Since then we have gotten our own puters with Vista's *along with laptops* and knock on wood I haven't done it since.
We both have actually TRIED to do it again but no such luck. We do know it took them a week to get the puter fixed before they put it back on the shelve so just becareful or make sure you have the warrenty for it and you correct the problem before you get caught lol..
One other thing, Vista still doesn't work with some programs, you have to change settings for them, and in reality you should get a new video card and not use the one that comes pre installed.. We learned the hard way.
On the plus side, Vista has most drivers for everything you will need or want already loaded, so no more looking for disk, just install hardware and your ready
Good to hear your up and running though. I don't think I remember what part of the states your moving back to, North, south, east or west coast?

Well so far so good.
Only my fingers and this keyboard don't get along. Thought I was hitting excape key the other night and I turned the damn thing off.
We'll wait till we get back to Oklahoma to do any changes to the puter. I'm getting ready to put some games on to play when I'm on the airplane. Hubby always goes to sleep but try as I might I can never sleep on a plane. In my puter chair yeah...but not on a plane.
Gotta go change clothes...hubby wants to go get a curry tonight. Chicken tika and a bottle of white wine...oh yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
And YES Tammy...Bethie and I are both MISUNDERSTOOD.
And don't I remember a certian Redcheeks that used to hide in the closet with me in a certian chat room cos two certian Doms misunderstood what we were doing?

Be sure to bring some Tikka Masala sauce home with you Shylah, finding the fixins for good Indian food isnt easy in some parts of the states. I always take certain American foods with me when I visit England...and bring certain British ones home as well.

Shylah cant wait for the grape jelly and double stuff oreos!!
I can see it now on the news....mad woman sought in grocery store robbery.. the only thing missing.. lays, grape jelly, and 100's of packages of double stuff oreos!!

What I love about Super Walmart is that I can go shopping at midnight if I feel like it. You'd be surprised what I realize I suddenly need at midnight sometimes. Cookies are usally high on the list. |

That's what I'm looking forward to...being able to go out anytime of the day or night and get my "fix" when I get the munchies.
