Have you noticed more things on TV concerning spanking/kinks. For example last night we were watching a rerun of Family Guy and Peter was playing for a pro football team. He was on the sidelines and patting the guys on the butt as they went by (like they all do) and then pulled one over his knee and started spanking him. I was laughing so hard I about fell out of the chair.  Also on the show Two and 1/2 Men the one brother came out with clothes pins on his nipples. I thought I'd see if anyone else has seen more lately or if I am just paying more attention.

I agree I think there are many more at least references to it on TV. Saw one the other day on, I think, on two and a half men...said to a girlfriend "if I am the bad one...why do you get the spankings" or something like that. |

Has anyone seen "Boston Legal" during the last couple of seasons? Every now and then, the writers throw into the dialog a few spanking and other kink references. Guess which cast member is given the honor of delivering such lines?
Two words: James Spader.

We were suprised when we saw a episode of Reba where they eluded to Reba spanking her x's wife and the red markes that remained. Pretty cool. |

Lots of spanking references on 'Family Guy.'
There was a recent episode of 'Weeds' where the main character played by Mary Louise Parker gets a very hot spanking. |

M*A*S*H, Frasier and All Saints all have spanking references.
Actually, I think Hawkeye is a spanko, and I am ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN that Rose Carleton-Stevens, Mitch Stevens and Terri Sullivan-Stevens are are all spankos.
Best lines of all time:
1: Mitch to Terri: "Oh, yes, time for my spanking!"
2: Terri to Mitch, with Mitch's reply: "SO much for me having beaten it out of you," "When we get home, hop in!"
AS is an Aussie show, but you might recognise it. It's a hospital drama. Sorry for opening a possibly closed thread, but I was just trawling through the site cause I was bored. |

And don't forget the "Weeds" spanking.
Another show, now sadly gone, was Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Several characters made reference to spanking at different times. One I remember was Willow(Alyson Hannigan) saying "everybody's getting spanked but me." poor girl |

I have seen some of the Family Guy stuff and the Reba episode you refer too.
I have a theory that people are becoming more open to it as an accepted form of foreplay or as comedy--as long as it's not depicted as discipline or anything where the husband is HOH. |

Hell, I was just watching the British sit-com As TIme GOes By, and THAT'S even got a spanking reference in it. Crikey, I think The Vicar od Dibley has one too. Am I tragic, to be able to find so many, or is mainstream media becoming more comfortable with strange stuff?

Well, I live in Ohio, and everyone here is obsessed with our college team, the Ohio State Buckeyes. Well, one morning I was listening to a local radio station while driving to work and this radio show has two main guys and then two girls who have been interning on the show for awhile. Imagine how surprised I was when they paddled one of the interns on live radio!! Apparently the day before she had said she was rooting for her own college team to beat the Buckeyes and so they were paddling her for it. I couldn't believe it! I doubt it was very hard, but you could tell she hadn't been paddled before because you heard a lot of "ows". Being a spanko, that was a very, very interesting drive to work for me. |

Yeah I have noticed a lot of mentioning of it on TV.
My favorite was on House MD when House said to his team about Cuddy "careful, she has a hairbrush and knows how to use it" |

Tammy, it was on WNCI's Morning Zoo with Dave and Jimmy. I believe it was Ghandi that they spanked.
There was another reference to spanking on House on the episode when 13 comes to work after a night of heavy partying. She gets called into Cuddy's office and House says something about Cuddy spanking 13. |

Also, I read recently about a home security company that used the competition's signs to spank low-performing salespeople. A woman tried to sue for sexual harassment, but because all underperforming salespeople were spanked (men and women), it was not harassment. |
