Hi, Jane.
It can be hard for guys who have been brought up not to use violence on women to justify an erotic spanking. That may be what your lover had a problem with. I was having a session with a woman who enjoyed the spanking I was administering just fine, but wanted me to do more---to slap her in the face, and maybe more than that. I ended the session, because I saw we were not on the same page at all. A fanny can sustain a fair amount of pain---it is the traditional receiving area for corporal punishment (for those who believe in corporal punishment) because of this. Slapping somebody in the face is different. I could never do it.
