Has anyone experienced spanking while blindfolded, hearing deprived and/or bound? Just wondering if it enhances the feeling/experience. I think to use headphones with classical music, being restrained and blindfolded while being spanked would really be erotic and focus your mind on what your body was feeling. Yep, we're going to have to try that.What do you all think?

Hubby and I have done the blindfold and spank thing....very erotic  - come to think of it, we did the restaint thing too...!

In place of music try white noise like a FM radio that is not set to a station just a hissing sound. Or ear muffs so nothing can be heard at all. |

I agree with you, Tammynx. I want to try it with something soothing, like classical music, since it sort of takes me to another place anyway. Seems like it would heightened your senses elsewhere. (Darn...hubby needs to be home now!  I'm getting very impatient!) I think it would be awesome to start with an erotic spanking and move on to other things. hee hee

We tried the blindfold, I enjoyed the suspense factor. I think I kind of like that sensory deprivation feeling. Those little foam earplugs do a good job of cutting out any noise (having worked around jet engines I can vouch for them)if a person were interested in silence. Handcuffs too, but I feel they're a little too martial for my tastes. The rope harness (i can't remember the oriental name for it)he worked up was rather interesting, fits under clothes, so he & I knew it was there but no one else in the restaraunt knew. That "we got a little secret" atmosphere worked for both of us.

I have tried the blindfold but never the not being able to hear. I will have to try that but I think I will use the headsets we buy for going to the race track. You have to yell at each other when you are wearing them so I think they will block out the sound quite nicely. |

I went through a period of time where I had a lot of trouble moving out of position during a spanking so my husband bought a very effective restraint system. Needless to say I couldn't move out of position at all which was indeed a very erotic experience for me. After a few weeks he stopped using the restraints but reminded me that he could always "bring them back out if he needs to."

I like being spanked while bound. While we have two long, good ropes for quite a time, two years ago my girlfriend bought herself high-quality, double-locking, police-issue handcuffs. Oh how much I love being handcuffed!
I also like being bound and spanked while I'm naked and my girlfriend/jailer is fully dressed - so joyfully humiliating!

Ed, do you have a bed with a metal (or wooden) frame or railing at each end? Or any similar piece of heavy furniture? If you have anything like that, buy two lengths of rope, and let her tie your wrists to the frame when your face is downwards towards the bed; then she'll have nice and easy access to you bottom without you running away... And, if she thinks that your legs kick too much, she could always tie them too to the other end of the bed with two more ropes.
A heavy sofa or couch with similar features or even a firmly-set towel rack could do the trick as well.
If you want to get more professional you could use cuffs. Police-type metal handcuffs are quite sexy, but they could hurt you quite a bit if your hand slides to the wrong position. Leather bondage cuffs are less hardcore but are safer and more comfortable, and most types of them could be locked with a padlock as well.
EDIT: If you REALLY want to invest in this, find a way to firmly install two heavy metal rings about 1m apart on one of your walls. THEN she could tie your wrists to them above your head (with your face to the wall) and you could no longer escape the punishment you both crave and deserve 
Or, you could install such a ring in the middle of one of the corners of your house, so that she could tie both of your wrists to it and make you stand in the corner whether you'd like it or not

I might be a minority here. Being bound scares the heck out of me - I get very panicky, very fast. (I have experienced being immobilized for medical reasons - broken collar bone, 3 c-sections - and I completely lost it 2 out of 4 times)
But it is something that my husband has hinted at and outright said he'd like to try - and I AM curious. A lot of people seem to like it, and I wonder if there's a way to ease into trying it without flipping my freak out switch. (And maybe a good experience would help ease my phobia?) Anyone have any good suggestions?

Eslynne, We have cuffs collars and two spreader bars,don't know if I am ready to start reusing them right now but hope we get back to it.
To start with you could have your ankles secured but not your wrists and see how it goes, what I liked was when hubby would put a collar on me and a small leash and we would watch tv together, no spankings or other punishment just on the sofa having some good Dom/sub time. start out small and only for a few minutes and see how it goes,
There are some other items I would like but that's not for right now,

try being blindfold first.
this is restricting becasue you can't move around freely without you actually being bound.
i love being blindfold, as you don't know where or when you are going to get the next smack, or what with.
you could ease yourself into being bound by being gagged first, which is a form of bondage but does not restrict your movements.
next he could use your clothes to bind you. they are soft and familar and less intimidating than than leather or steel cuffs and shackles. tights or stockings make great wrist or ankle restraints.
then you could combine things, for instance he could blindfold you and gag you with your own knickers, a particular turn on for me.

Well, I told him your suggestions and he decided to try some and his own ideas, which turned out to work fairly well..
He started by holding my wrists while kissing me, and then some days holding both my wrists crossed behind me while kissing me, and I was okay with that - I knew he could let go instantly if I freaked out, and he was kissing, which was good, so I could get into it a little more.
But he must have gotten tired of going slowly so one day he rigged up something with ropes and the bed frame, and surprised me with it. He had spend most of the evening when the kids weren't paying attention whispering things in my ear or grabbing my butt to make sure I'd be interested in playing after they were in bed...
So when we got to the bed and he had me lay face down and showed me the ropes, then I kind of panicked a little - he indicated he'd like to tie my wrists and I safeworded. So he backed up and spent some time on arousing me, and then tied just my ankles. That doesn't bother me as much as my wrists, and I told him it was okay, because if I don't move too much I'm not as aware that I'm bound, whereas if I move and hit the limit of the rope I'll be very aware - so he made it a rule I couldn't move my feet during the spanking. Nice, sexy spanking - and if I moved too much got VERY hard spanks on the thighs. OWWW! But it worked... We use blindfolds and restraints during our sex fun as well as for punishment. The blindfold we mainly use for sex but restraints are used for both.
During a punishment if I move to much my husband will restrain me by handcuffing me to our spanking bench. It has cuffs for wrists and ankles and I know if I'm on the bench cuffed I'm really in for it. This is usually only for when I'm in deep trouble and won't be able to hold still during the punishment I have earned. These punishments usually last an hour or so with breaks in between implements to let me calm down and my bottom rest.
My husband is a very strict Dom and sees to it that my bottom is punished as it needs to be even if that means restraining me and whipping me till I can't sit for days. |

I am often restrained when being spanked/whipped naked & it enhances the punishment & humiliation.
Being tied to the 4 corners of the bed is effective, especially if I'm left bound there for some time. Handcuffs are used at times. I have been tied over a chair or desk or table before to receive a paddling or belting. Once I was hogtied & paddled, belted,& tickled for a long amount of time.
