Adam recently told me that he'd like to look into getting a strap to use on me as well as a thick wooden paddle. The paddle i can imagine but a strap...how bad is it? does anyone know? Should i be cowering in fear. LoL
As well, we want to find a new implement. Any idea's?

Remember, these are just my personal preferences, ok? I, myself, much prefer our biggest leather strap to any of the larger wooden paddles, especially the thick ones. I like a little thud with lots of sting so that's why I prefer heavy leather. Also, wood is so unforgiving and I like long erotic spankings so leather works better for me.
We've received some wonderful leather goods from John at Leather Thorn Paddles. I love his big Strap with the basket weave pattern on one side. It's heavy so it has some thud but also has huge sting. For a lighter sting, try his SchoolMaster straps.
I absolutely love the Rose Paddle he made for us. It's yummy! Everytime we're going to have a long good girl spanking, I practically beg for that paddle. It's awesome!

I LOVE the strap it SOUNDS worse then it is ..the paddle THUMPS th strap snaps ...the PADDLE is DEEP and through pain .. the strap stingy ..if I get my choice I grab the strap. you can buy cheap ones at e-bay that are just yummy ....its no worse really then a belt ..
He asked what I needed , timidly gave it at first, now he just knows.

I agree with Bethie. You should be much more afraid of the paddle than the strap! It's a bummer that we can't mention our favorite vendors -- so many restrictions on this site -- but I have a prison strap that I really like, but it hurts like heck!

First, let me apologize because I'm about to go off-topic; Sorry, folks, and don't let this derail the original topic please!
Victoria, I said "Please don't make direct links to other commercial sites if they're not a sponsor though." That means you can mention them, just don't make a direct link to them, ok?
The reason for this? We pay for this site ourselves and offer it's use to you for free so I think it's reasonable to ask for a few considerations. Although I don't think that adds up to the many restrictions you mentioned. One of the considerations I ask for is that you don't give free advertisements to commercial sites that Dan or I don't already have arrangements with. Most of those sites have ad space on this site in the top banner spot. The few sponsors we have help but don't pay for the bandwidth or any of the other costs of running this site, so I ask that you help me out by respecting them and us by not giving away for free what they are paying for. I don't think that's too much to ask for so please work with me on this one.
Okay, back to the subject: To strap or not to strap?
I say, strap away! I'd like to hear from anyone who has experienced a razor strop. I've been wanting one but Dan has cautioned me that I may not know what I'm asking for. Any opinions? |

I totally agree. Before I had a strap I was nervous, well obviously because it was something new, but I would far more prefer a punishment with a strap than with a paddle. I bruise so severely with a paddle and it hurts to sit for days, not to mention the pain is so thuddy which aches for so long. Yet, with the strap, the pain is intense but it is stingy and more burny and although I bruise with the strap, it is nowhere near the bruising with a paddle. It hurts to sit on yes, but like I said it's stingy to sit ony, not like the paddle where it aches. And I agree with Bethie, strap away and Jake has used a vintage razor strop we were um... lucky enough to come across and oh, it felt like it was literally cutting into my skin and he certainly wrapped which as I'm sure you know when on the sides, it hurts like the dickens. I don't envy my position when Jake pulls that out of the implement chest.

Leather straps are not nearly as hurtfull as a rubber strap, they really hurt, most likely too much for a lady to take. |

I prefer leather to wood too. Wood doesn't give enough and heaven knows my bum is at least as stubborn as I am. |

Thick wooden paddles are very painful.
Thick rubber straps are also very bad.
Leather straps are probably the elast painful....

We have the DD punishment strap from London Tanners. I like it, but it can really, really hurt. I have this, I dunno, stubbornness about using my safe word, but I've gotten pretty close with this thing. That being said....I ask for it often (WHY?????). |

When purchasing a Strop, the thickness and length are very important. There are split strops (my favorite) and straight strops...
Do your research and have a spanking good time !

As to why it is probably two factors in my experience
1) the endorphins realised when you experience an element of scaredness and
2) you like the challenge.

Leather smells so nice and its flexible. I would take the sting of a leather strap over the sting/thud of a paddle with holes in in anyday! but, who lets me choose... lol

Last week while browsing in the flea market i picked up a rubber strap.It's one of those straps with a hook on each end that's used to secure things on the roof of a car,but i usually have my eyes open for a new spanking implement.We removed the hooks and when doubled over like a belt it's quite effective,as i found out the next day when my SO tried it out on me.It's bad enough on the ass but unbearable on the bare thighs.I got that strap on sunday and today(tues.)my ass is still tender and my legs feel sore when my pants rub against them.It's still worth it,with the GREAT sex those whippings generate. |

I have a idea for you when it comes to a strap. How about a real Canadian school strap...? They came in black and the other not so well known one was a redish tan sort of strap. The black strap was used on the palms of the hands as well as on ones bottom, while the redish tan one a little thicker and heavier was used on ones bottom. And both pack a very good sting. These straps are as rare as hens teeth, but it seems that I may be coming into a few of them that are of school issue size and weight and lenght. Now if your asking yourself what is a Canadian school strap well it is rubber but its stiff will not flop all over the place. This is what the school board issued to schools when the strap was used and I never ever heard of anyone being harmed by one. It will leave a good solid red strap mark were it lands and has a very good sting to it that would even make a grade 12 student have tears in his or her eyes after getting it. In my school they used the slipper to which by the way a girls canvas Ked's sneaker and that really stung alot..!! The older and more worn it was the worse the sting. |
