So, I have recently entered the spanking world. My bf and I have only a couple toys: the CB paddle (you guys don't know it, but you're the reason I ordered it), and one mean spoon. I've always been kind of fascinated with the hairbrush, so I recently ordered one online. What a disappointment. You surely do get what you pay for. The wood is too thin and also, because there's all this empty space on the inside, it's really, really loud (and I'm sure my neighbor already hates me). Do you guys have any suggestions for good hairbrushes? And no, I don't want the Vermont Country Store bath brush--partially because I'm chicken and partially because I have the whole "first he brushes my hair back and then spanks the hell out of me" fantasy thing going... Thanks in advance for any advice! |

Two words...thrift stores. You can find nice antique ones there occasionally if you're willing to spend the time looking. Same goes for some antique stores. There's also usually a few up on eBay, and some implement vendors sell them too through their sites (don't know any in particular). Beyond that, you can occasionally find a decent one in stores, but you need to be sure you <ahem> test them out (discretely, of course). Gift shops can be good too...my wife and I found a nice koa wood one at our hotel in Hawaii last time we were there. Its very light, but solid wood. Good ideas Chris..thrift stores are always a good idea for good implements. I have an old wooden one that belonged to my Grandmother....it was used for brushing hair once upon a time...wish it still was. That thing is WICKED. |

Hairbrushes leave bruises too easily. Ouch! But whatever floats ur boat! More partial to the hand or a strap, myself. I can recover more easily. Just FYI though, Bed, Bath and Beyond has lots of stuff if ur creative enough. Good Luck! Frankee |

Yes it is Pinkcheeks. It was recommended to me by Shadowlane because they aren't carrying their hairbrush right now and I needed to replace mine. |

Thanks everyone! Especially thanks to the Bed, Bath and Beyond suggestion...I ended up buying some sort of wooden, I dunno, spatula thing (see what happens to young girls when their mothers work?! I can't even name basic kitchen utensils!---this is of course a joke, no offense to working moms...I have every intention on being one myself) and a bath brush that actually looks a lot more intense than the Vermont CS one. Oh well. I think he will only be able to use that a couple times before I begin to bruise. I also recently ordered a lexan paddle. The "Marc," I believe it's called. I think it's going to take me quite awhile to show this to the bf. It's kind of scary looking... |

Lexan is pretty scary, but it *does* make a really nice "splat" sound. That's about the only good thing I can say about it. Hairbrushes... well it greatly depends on the brush. The scariest brush I've ever met was an antique ebony brush. Regular wood and plastic, not quite as scary. Though the vermont country store bath brush is pretty evil too. There used to be a site (probably 5-6 years ago) that had some spanking videos with a large (like frat-sized) lexan paddle. I've always wanted one like that. The one I do have is small (ruler sized) and thin, and honestly isn't one of my favorite implements, although it can be rather wicked. My local mall has a store just for hair products and such, and I found the nicest hairbrush there. Solid wood but not too heavy...you can actually tap with it and the sting is just right. Ive used it on a male friend of mine and he thought it was perfect. If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day, so I never have to live without you. Grow old with me, the best is yet to be.
