Hi all. I'm new here and have been reading a lot in here. I have a couple of questions and hope it's ok to ask. I didn't see in the rules where I couldn't post a picture. If I've missed it, I'm sorry. ~~Note from Admin - Since those pictures came straight from a commercial site, I'm sorry but they're not allowed. If they were your own implements that would be fine, but since the images belong to that company, I can't have them posted here.~~

My wife and I are going to be out of town, staying in a motel for 2 weeks. She requires at least a couple of punishment spankings a week, but I'm worried someone will hear us. I've also noticed that if I use an implement that is stingy, she becomes angry, and is unwilling to submit after it's used. Can someone look at these pictures and let me know which would hurt, not sting, and also if it would be quiet to use. Thanks for your help.

My fear is that without being able to properly punish her, she will be bratty and ruin the vacation. I have to keep her in line. I've read that canes are quiet, but canes are also stingy, so it won't work.

The belt works the best on her. She hates to see me take it off also. The problem is that the belt is too loud. Is there something like a belt that would be more quieter?

.

I'm looking for the same kind of thing. I hope someone answers your question, for which is more

Non-stingy + quiet.

They all look good. Wish there was a way to try them out to tell, before buying everything in sight and then not liking them or using them.

Abbie

* Has anyone used these ?

and have an idea which is quiet and non-stingy ?

How much time do you have before you go on vacation? I have a few ideas but almost everything I can think of has to be ordered.

For quiet efficiency and more thud than sting, there's nothing like our rubber paddle and delrin canes (especially the larger ones).

I'm not really conscious of the noise most of our implements make (I'm too busy trying to keep myself quiet for the neighbor's sake), but I know what you mean about staying in hotels and wanting to keep it quiet. The problem is that the smaller the spanking surface the quieter the implement usually is, and often those quiet toys are the ones with extra sting.

It's hard to get thuddy and quiet unless you use a really dense material such as rubber and delrin. We do have one very narrow spanking stick that isn't too noisy and I made that one myself. It's not pretty, but it's effective and it was easy to make.

spanking stick

There's a hairbrush in the picture so you can get an idea of the dimensions. That hairbrush isn't quiet so that's probably not an option for this project.

FYI, most hotels come equipped with those plastic rods they attach to the curtains or blinds to close them with and those can be quiet and ouchie spanking tools. If I remember right, they sting though. Too bad because they're handy. Dan's been known to "borrow" one of those during a stay.

Thank you for answering me Bethie. I'm sorry for posting the pictures, I didn't know. Our vacation is a month away. I've been to certain sites to buy a paddle (not loud), and there's just so many of them, that I have no idea what to buy. There's thin ones, thick ones, holes, no holes, long, short, leather, acrylic, wood, maple, oak lol. They have everything but the bottom to test them on. lol I just want to be able to spank my wife, quietly, with less sting if I could. lol

Why does this have to be so hard? lol If she doesn't get spanked, she's going to become the biggest brat and ruin our vacation. You gotta love her. :-) Thanks for your help. So thinner wooden paddle is quieter, but stingy?

Hi Abby, who knew this would be so hard? lol We've only been spanking for a few months. I don't normally have to worry about noise. If you find anything, could you please let me know? Thank you.

Lanny, when you say "thinner wooden paddle" are you talking about the thickness or the width? A thin wooden paddle with lots of smooth surface might be loud.

It's really hard to say without handling an implement just how loud it will be. Whatever you do, don't get a slapper.

Since you have a month, we have a little time to discuss it. I'll ask Dan for his opinion, too. I'm usually too busy making my own noise to notice anything else but he might know which ones to recommend.

Thank you for your help Bethie. I've been checking out the small straps. Someone said they are quiet, and pretty much handle like a belt, and feel like a belt. Something that feels like a belt, but isn't overly loud would be great. Would that be a strap? My wife loves the belt, but it would be too loud in a motel.

We have a couple of narrow heavy straps that are great implements, but they do tend to sting. You say your wife loves the belt and since most belts have some sting to them, she might like a small strap. I'm just not sure how much sting is too much for her. What kind of belt do you have that she likes?

What sort of implement did you use before that had too much sting? That might be helpful to know.

Also, are thuddy toys preferable?

Hi Bethie. My wife loves the belt. Mine is about an inch thick. She especially likes it when I take it off. It doesn't seem to be too stingy for her. What I used on her before was a rod, like a cane. It was too stingy, and just made her angry. Also a paint stirring stick. That was stingy for her. She says she likes more hurt then sting, but doesn't mind a little stingy. How thick of a strap would you suggest? I've had my eye on a little one. I'm not sure how wide or long to get. I would like to be able to use it otk and over the bed. I was thinking it might be quieter, and feel like the belt? Then I'm wondering which is quieter; looped double or single? Thank you for listening and helping me Bethie.

In my experience with the straps we have, the more narrow the width of the strap, the more sting and less noise. I'm not sure about about a doubled one, it depends on how it's constructed, I suppose.

Anyone have any experience with doubled straps?

---------------------------------------------------

Some.

A simple doubled-over strap will make more noise and hurt less. This is because the strap hitting itself both makes noise and dissipates energy. If one strap is laid on top of another strap, as in a dogging bat (or doggin' bat), the noise part still applies, but the force of the blow is diminished somewhat less, as there is no bent-over part to flex and absorb energy.

A dogging bat can be given some increased effectiveness with less noise by gluing the two layers together. A coin or washer glued between the layers adds a little weight which will also add to the impact and improve the action a little, depending on the thickness of the spring steel reinforcement that is usually built into the handle. If you use contact cement, you can heat the end with a hair dryer to pull the layers apart to experiment to get just the right weight in between the layers.

There is also a rubber spanking strap made in Denmark that is several layers glued on top of each other. Only one layer is full length, with each successive layer two or three inches shorter. This gives an action like a tapered instrument such as a whip or crop, with a relatively stiff handle that gradually increases in flexibility until it becomes a flexible strap at the end. The handle end can have its edges rounded to fit the hand.

Thank you for your help! So if you glued a double strap (layers) together, it would hurt, and be less noise? This might work. Thanks.

..................................................

Gluing two layers together doubles the weight with none of the noise of one layer of leather striking the other. It would hurt more because of the doubled weight and the added stiffness.

A double leather strap would make the same noise as a single strap of the same thickness.

And, as Bethie says, narrower straps are quieter. I would not say they sting more or less, but differently. I think a lot of us have slightly different perceptions and descriptions of "sting", and whether it is good or bad.

Your wife sounds like me - I love leather, don't really care for the canes, etc. There's a nice paddle called a slipper paddle at London Tanners. It is the kind of thing I love. Some thud, a little sting
