I am looking for cleaver ideas, from fellow Spankos' as to the details of just what they made, and how they accomplished the task. Did it work as planned ? Was it better/worse ? What was the cost of materials ? What would you change about your project ? Please share the details of your adventures in tool making...! A good spanking never hurts...although it may not seem that way at the time it is delivered!

I can't say that we've ever made anything, but we have used things that aren't supposed to be tools. We've used some of the more obvious things like rulers and hairbrushes. We've also gone to the hardware store and gotten just plain planks of wood. We've had a lot of fun figuring out what will break versus what is just too heavy and what will provide a nice amount of sting and make a nice crack. I have technically "made" something that we used once. Are you familiar with lanyards? they're these plastic-ish pieces of thread that can be braided to make key chains. The basic weave is called a box and uses two strands. If you use two strands but weave them diagonally instead of straight, you get a barrel. A box/barrel is one strand horizontally and one strand vertically. I generally make ones that always have only one strand horizontal and multiple strands vertically. I made a very long braid - it was about 30 inches long and I made it by braiding one horizontal and three vertical strands diagonally so it was round and twisty as opposed to a rectangular shape. It wasn't meant to be used as a spanking tool, but my husband encountered it one day and decided to use it. It just hurt way too much, though. We don't use it any more. |

I have about 31 paddles in my collection. They all vary: holes...without holes...size, thickness, shape, modified or regular, wood & lexan. {one/day of the month, as it works out}They all seem to work very well. The only unfortunate is all are from craft wood from Loew's or Home Depot. Yet, all provide lots of OUCHIE. Still looking around for OAK, MAPLE, Mahogany or Mesquite. |

We have recently decided to add two more balloon sticks to the one we have and kind of fan them out like a rake and band them together, but we haven't done so yet. Other than that it is mostly things that weren't intended for spanking but do the job just fine. |

I made a slapper strap out of an old leather belt that was 2" wide. I cut the belt buckle off, cut the remainder in half, giving me two straps that are about 16" long. I doubled over the two pieces, punched holes through both pieces for the first six inches, and laced the two pieces together. It has a real nice sting and a great sound, which I really like. It is my favorite to have used on me, hence my user name. |

Some quick advice if you wish to make wooden paddles: Lightweight woods offer punishing sting without bruising thud. Holes are neither necessary nor desirable for adult spanking. Make the handle taper slightly from your hand to the paddle so that the paddle wants to stay in your hand. Spend time on the edges: use files and sandpaper to make them hemispherical. Sand very smooth. Raise the grain by dampening with water and letting dry, then sand with the same grit again. Do this with 150 up through 320 grit. Then just dry sand with 400 and 600. Wood finish is its own problem; bare smooth wood applied to bare smooth bottom works perfectly. Hw |

I didn't make but modified. I bought a GE Model MR2 Hand Held Massager back in the early 70's. It came with 4 white plastic attachments, and I ended up throwing those away, and letting my imagination invent. Over the years I have made many different things. This isn't a spanking toy, but I now that I have had my first spanking, I dream of being on my pillow with this under me and on that spot and being spanked. I also dream of being teased with this during spanking. The orgasms with this are earth tilting, window shattering---definitely not for Motel Rooms. It will make a screamer of the non screamers. |

Hello I am 61 female and just had my First spanking. My question, how long to wait before the second one? My sorness intensified at about 24 hours at 48 hours still plenty sore and light bruises. Has anyone ever been spanked again say the second or third day while soreness is peak? If so would like to have your input on that. |

It depends on you and your spanker. In an ideal situation, you can be supremely tender, and a sensitive spanker can start out gently, with a light, but stinging, instrument, and increase the intensity until you are loving it. The wrong technique and the wrong instrument is just pain. Sorry, but this is all such an individual thing that there is no one size fits all answer. Also, as time goes on, you will not be quite as tender. You will never be insensitive, but not as sensitive as just starting out, either. |

Hi Norearview and welcome. I'm glad you are pleased with your first spanking experience, but I think you started a bit stonger than some of us. I am basing this on your soreness and bruising. There are as many different spanking styles as there are spankos, so what works for others may not be what you want/need. Many of us a spanked on a still sore bottom and several of us are spanked on a daily basis to one degree or another. Not all of us are into bruising. Experiment with what works well with you. Hopefully you have a safe spanker that you can trust. A lot of the thrill of spanking comes with the experimentation. Queen of Innocence "Well behaved woman rarely make history"

My husband recently made something that is kinda crazy. He has been making wood and leather spanking things for a while, but last week he made a paddle out of 1/4" balsa wood. Of course it broke the first time he used it. He said he really loved breaking a paddle on my butt, and has made several more, and intends to break them on me too. They are really loud when he spanks with them, but do not sting all that much....may be a little wierd, but he likes these. |
