Is there a method to condition/soften a relatively new or stiff leather belt for discipline use or would I need to purchase a used belt which is already pliable? I am not one who frequently wears a belt. Maybe I should start. |

Vaseline works great. "It seemed like a good idea at the time."

I found that a soft old belt worked best but I doubled it up for the handle to help control the swing and impact. |

I use leather conditioner from Tandy Leather. It softens leather up quickly and makes it soft. |

Dear Oftenred, Do you soften the belt? Why doesn't your partner do it? I would think that he would know what is best to use on you? |
