There is a lot of discussion about spanking as a cure for anxiety and depression. When I have been spanked good and hard and scolded I feel as though the weight of the world has been lifted of my shoulders. I see the world in vivid color as opposed to black and white. I suffered a lot of guilt trips and as a result I has panic/anxiety attacks but somehow spankings seem to keep me grounded and content. Are there others here who feel that a good spanking is better than a Valium? For me long medium intensity spanking with various implements on my sit spot with a few hard ones thrown in do the trick for me. (Message edited by bethie on March 23, 2010) |

I would have to agree here. Suffering from bipolar and having various other mental afflictions I don't believe there is anything better for it than a spanking. The release of chemicals and emotions from a spanking can be so beneficial to the soul as well as the mind and body. I received one spanking in particular which has stayed with me in this area...so I do agree that it can have a positive affect. Although I'd be hesitant to say you should rely on spankings alone Professional treatment is always needed with these things (and I talk of GPs, psychchiatrists etc when I say professional!) Also, I remember an article in the paper years ago that said research had been conducted in Russia where people who suffered from depression were caned to see if there was a positive response, which there was. Unless I'm remembering that wrong I'll try dig out a link... |

i know i always feel more "balanced" after a good spanking. Kaymac, i read the same thing and you are right, it did have positive effects. "It seemed like a good idea at the time."

I just received a maintenance spanking this morning, and I have to say that it definitely was therapeutic. I have a punishment spanking coming up early next week, so this morning's spanking helped to alleviate some of the anxiety related to that upcoming spanking. |

Are your maintenance spankings OTK? How are the punishments administered/ with the strap, I found that the most effective way was to have my wife lie on the bed so that I could get a proper swing. She also had to cooperate as we did not use bondage. After a while the cooperation got too hard and she would turn on her side. What do you do to stay cooperative and accept you punishment like the way you should? Do you need help with restraints? I am not sure if stopping for a while in the middle helps or not as the resumption is hard at times. What do you think? |

My maintenance spankings are always OTK, and never anywhere near as hard as punishment spankings. They start over my pants, and then continue bare bottomed. Rarely is anything other than my disciplinarian's hand used during a maintenance spanking. Sometimes, he will use a hairbrush, but that doesn't happen during maintenance spankings too often Punishment spankings are much more intense, and I, too, have difficulty remaining in position for the strap. Often it takes the threat of more strokes if I am not compliant, so since I really do fear and hate the strap, I try very hard to do what I need to in order to avoid extra strokes. As I mentioned yesterday, it does help ahead of time knowing how many are going to be administered. Sometimes, if I am to receive a higher number of strokes with the strap, my disciplinarian will administer some, move onto another implement, and then eventually finish the strapping. I do find that approach somewhat easier to endure. I hope this reply helped. |

My master likes to use a switch-the one thing I hate the most!I am stubborn though -I hate to show signs of weakness so I force myself to endure but it can get hard. There are times I just can't take it particularily when he starts off with the switch first. If he builds up to it I can take it better. He has held off using it unless he is making a point about some issue like my poor housekeeping! I tend to get busy with my little "projects" ie crafts and playing on the computer and the house suffers. That's when he gets frustrated and I get a "punishment" spankling. It is getting harder to schedule our time though with kids home all the time-we are going to have to get creative! |
