Lowering a lady's panties is a key event in any spanking. But when the moment arrives, who should perform the unveiling?
First thoughts might be that the spanker is the obvious candidate. Especially in a M/F scenario, the element of control and domination is emphasized when he bares her bottom.
However, if a sense of shame and humiliation is part of the role-play, it can be useful to require the lady to lower her knickers. Her bottom may already be smarting from strokes inflicted to date, in which case the indignity of peeling off her panties will merely add to her distress.
I have an open mind on this question. What do other people think? |

Mood and just what feels right. I have with great success…
Sent her to the bedroom to wait for me sitting on the bed fully clothed.
Sent her to the bedroom with orders to take her pants and panties down and wait for me.
I like to have her stand between my knees as I sit in my chair and I undo her pants and take them down. Her panties may or may not be removed now.

At my house, I always have to go to our bedroom and remove all clothing and retrieve the belt and then go to the basement family room and wait there anticipating my discipline !

My husband as always believed that it is his job to take my panties down prior to spanking me, but it is my job to pull them up after, but of course not until I am instructed to do so |

If the spanking is with a strap or a crop, we prefer the panties to be left on so as to not be disturbed by the changing colour. |

It varies for me on the spankee, and the reason the spanking is being administered. To me the mechanics (or actual spanking) is just part of the scene, equally important is the spankees headspace. Which has a better effect, by her removing her panties, is it signaling acceptance to what awaits her, or by me doing the unveiling does it give her more of the impression of relinquishing control? By default, to me the spanking is going to be bare bottom, the question is what is going to make her feel more contrite, humble, embarassed, submissive.

I start on the panties. It's sexy to do it in stages, but it also provides some advance protection, so the bottom is somewhat more ready for the main, bare-bottom, course.
Pantyhose can be problematic, though. |

I may or may not undress the lady completely -- but at least pull the panties down, and do it BEFORE I get to work.
The lady can dress herself, so she pull up the panties if allowed to have them back. But I don't necessarily give the panties back.
I like to keep 'um guessing. |

I like this last post by sgtspank, she has to face him when her panties come down. This is the best view for me.
