In fact I think it's bizarre to mix pain with sex. I have encountered enough stress, pain, and restraint in the real world... why do I want to be handcuffed and paddled? I am not one of you. But I am so very curious about the lifestyle.

I think its bizarre to eat raw meat-but a lot of people do it. I don't want to, but I'm not going to make an "anti steak tartare" page. I'm just not going to eat steak tartare. |

I am forced to wonder how much you know about the dynamics of the lifestyle. To not understand or be curious of what leads us to the lifestyle is one thing, calling it bizarre and posting a link to your FB page against spanking doesnt seem real constuctive. Are you here to bash spanking or learn about the lifestyle.
First thing I think you need to learn, is that spanking occurs between two consenting adults, otherwise it is assault. The reasons for being in the lifestyle to begin with are as vast and unique as the people participating in it. Some may use it for accountibility or motivation in their lives, others use it for stress relief or as a form of foreplay prior to sex. Their reasoning isnt what is important, the fact that their reasoning is valid to both parties involved is. There are aspects of the lifestyle that I am not into, but I certainly would not presume to criticize others for their involvement. If it works for them, who am I to say otherwise. If you are truly interested in learning about the lifestyle from those living it, I would suggest asking a direct question such as, "What lead you to the lifestyle?" or "What do you get out of being spanked?" The answers you get may surpirse you.

Perhaps someone could just be curious what lead us here, which is fine. I am not a daredevil but I could be curious as to what leads them to take risks with their life. I dont mind an honest question, it's how we learn. I think the way the OP titled this thread was a bit misleading, as she didn't ask any question, but rather stated she was against spanking. Her tone with " I am not one of you " seemed a bit adversarial to me. To me, if you want to know something, please feel free to ask a direct question. If you dont agree with my answer, thats perfectly ok with me too. I dont mind an opposing view point, just dont judge me for the way I choose to live.

If you have ever hugged someone a little too tightly out of passion, or scratched somebody's back during intercourse, or maybe given someone's shoulder a little nip during the sex act, you have experimented with pain as pleasure. Spanking is just further down that spectrum. I would wager that the overwhelming majority of the people who post on this site do not get off on pain per se. They would not hit their own thumb with a hammer deliberately. They do not look forward to dental visits. They are, by and large, I would guess, fairly ordinary men and women. Spanking does not necessarily involve that much pain at all. It deals with the shady borderland between pain and pleasure.
I like to give pleasure, and for many women, one form of that pleasure is mild pain. They would not want me to strike them in the face, and I never would. But spanking is different. |
