Recently my wife has done several dangerous (car and a ski boat) things that upset me to the point that a spanking was just not enough and I guess she recognized this. (She is smarter than I) My wife has never accepted corner time (standing or sitting) as part of our discipline relationship. I sent her to our room to wait for me and her spanking but because I was mad I left her alone sitting on the end of the bed. When I joined her it had been at least a half hour. There she was sitting quietly with her hands in her lap. I gave her a good, long talking to the kind that she hates. I ask her to admit what she did and then ask questions about her motivation and thinking process when she made the bad choice.
I administered a sound spanking. I then told her to sit back on the bed and it would be at least a half hour before I would release her. I was surprised when she complied.
I am going to talk this out with her soon but does anyone have a similar experience. |

Discipline vs erotic or severe spankings: We all know spanking as can make for great foreplay. But a discipline spanking cannot be effective if it is seen as a reward. I have read that a spanking immediately following an orgasm is pure pain, because of no arousal to take the edge off. Assuming this is true, it might be a way to make discipline spankings more of a deterrent for bad behavior. |

Thanks. I had hoped for some comment.
First, after an orgasm I generally go to sleep and have no interest in spanking at all.
Second, I am never looking for “pure pain” or extreme pain. A discipline spanking is more psychological and emotional than painful. When it is over the situation that lead up to the spanking is closed. That is how we do it.
I was looking for comments on punishment other than spanking. The idea being to expand the discipline experience over a longer period of time than just a lecture and a spanking. My wife has no problem with nudity but she is embarrassed to have to stand in front of me and take her pants down for a spanking. We have talked about this and she admits it is a humbling and embarrassing moment and she is ok with this.
Are there any non spanking punishments employed like - corner time, time out/go to our room, lines, grounding, loss of privilege. There are other examples I was hoping others would comment on. |

Lines, loss of privileges, early bedtimes, grounding, loss of access to ready cash/spending money (having to get your permission before buying stuff)...
Then there's spanking-related, but not spanking, stuff. I don't know much about it, but ginger figs are supposed to be effective--or cruel--depending on who you ask.
For some, being required to submit to the punisher' whims, giving up other sorts of control like the ability to kick or flail one's arms, yell audibly, control reactions by preparing for what's coming, even know what's coming next...(restraints for arms, locking her legs between yours if OTK or restraints for ankles, some kind of gag which muffles sound, blindfolding so she can't see what you're doing.
Some folks even have rules like "if you struggle too much/yell too loud/(insert), you'll get extras or some added punishment.
I even read somewhere of being required to remain silent for an extended period (not allowed to talk for a week, or something like that) once. Mad idea, that. Nuts. But, to each their own.
Warning: Multilingual Brat approaching....hairbrush IS a language, right?

I cannot handle being left alone before, during or after spanking. I need that reassurance. Corner time makes me panicky. However I can get a lot out of a very serious scolding. Does that count as punishment? |

For extra punishment my Dom sometimes takes privileges away like Internet or texting. If she has a Facebook you could take that away for a while. Also we have Saturday detention sessions where I am made to write lines or a essay about what I have done and why it was dangerous or wrong. This lasts all day and I am spanked throughout the day after each assignment is completed. You can bet I do my best to avoid detention!! Maybe also bedtime spankings for a week with corner time before and after that is something my Dom does regularly |
