I was going through our closet and came across a box that had all our 'toys' from when my wife and I we were first together. I was very creative in making implements. The worse one (well worse for me) was a paddle I made out of a 1/2 inch THICK leather weightlifting belt. I found the belt on clearance and even though it was too long, I had plans for that leather. (It seemed like a good idea at the time.) Well I cut the strap part that has holes for the buckle and shaped the cut end like a handle. The net result was this HEAVY, stiff-medium flex, leather paddle with holes that can chop down a freakin' tree! Did I mention it was HEAVY? Anyway, after I made it, I never did bring it to her attention (maybe better sense got a hold of me.) But she recently came across it and I got to 'enjoy' the fruits of my labor. It was the shortest discipline spanking I ever had because the thing is just plain evil! (Side Note: Isn't it crazy that something that wicked will have you fantasizing about getting it with it again later? Keyword there is FANTASIZING. In reality, I'm not ready to cross paths with that demon anytime soon.) What is your favorite homemade implement? What is your meanest homemade implement? Rex "It seemed like a good idea at the time."

First one was a wooden paddle with our initals and a heart engraved on it. Ouch. (it's hidden) Meanest one is a wooden paddle like the first only longer. Double ouch. (it's also hidden) Meanest one of all... HIS HAND. Shame I can't hide that. Take my heart and soul. But please don't step on it, it breaks easily.

I made 3 homemade leather straps before we started buying Ian's straps. The first was from a small brown belt (1 1/2" wide) that I cut to length and doubled at the handle end then my husband tacked it for the handle. Then I made another one with the same type of leather belt that was 2 inches wide. Then the 3rd. most stingiest leather belt I found is 1 1/2" wide and a kind of rubbery leather. I inserted a piece of that belt between a leather slapper I got at a sex store (it was cheap leather and you might as well have been using a strip of cardboard)between the two pieces and glued it in. Well...that created this long whippy handle with one strip of nasty stingy leather. It's my favorite for leather sting. It can be nice or nasty! They're all only 1/8 of an inch thick. The 4th leather one I made was a bit thicker and firmer and simply made like the first. It's a bit worse and we use it every time for the first leather implement before we move on to a couple of Ian's straps. We've made many wood paddles, but seem to stick to a light one that's made from the same wood as the CB. It has a 3 1/2" round head and is 14" in total length. We got the wood from height measuring things you put on the wall to check how much your child has grown. It's really cute, has painted cars, buses etc. on one side and feels like a small CB, burns!! I've got 4 spare pieces of wood but we haven't broken the first one yet and we've been using it for 2 years. We made a kind of loopy johnny from a leather skipping rope made of round stiff leather, that thing is wicked. We went to a tack shop and bought a long heavy piece of leather that's 1/4" thick by 1 3/4" wide. We cut it at 20" and had a 14" piece left for easy use OTK. It cost us $25.00 for the leather and I hid the long one on the bottom of the box cause I can't take many more than 5 or 6 with it. HOLY CRAP!! |

Lets see. Favorite of mine would have to be a paddle I crafted from 3/4 inch oak. Its about 6 inches wide by 18 inches long, not including handle. I drilled two rows of 1 inch holes (six per row) into the face of it, and countersunk them. However, that construction is not why its my favorite. Its my favorite because I experimented with a dark stain, sanding the surface so that the stain was only in the grain of the wood and then clear varnished it. Meanest one - see above lol. I want to take on a brush pattern next, but am quite afraid of the *ahem* end result. Brushes are evil. Pure plain evil. BTW, I'm not familiar with the acronym CB, and will probably slap myself in the head and intone a Homer-like "DOH!" when it is explained to me, but would someone sell me a clue? N. ...I catch a brief reflection of what (I) could and might have been...

CB is short for the infamous Cracker Barrel Paddle. There are a couple of threads about it here and Bethie has one where she shows where you can order one. We got 2 of the Tournament ones, they're only five bucks each. Looks are deceiving in the case of the CB, it's weighty and buuurrrns!! |

I think I should get the award for procrastination in dusting . We have a 4-tiered maple corner nic nac shelf covered in Goebel, and assorted other ornaments. The last time I dusted it was June 2004. I almost got it done last Christmas, but didn't feel like it and keep thinking about doing it but....anyways I figured I've got till we insure our motorcycles cause it's hard to do crap like that when I could be riding instead, or maybe I should go for a 2 year record? Motivation would definitely be the answer! (Message edited by kennysspankee on March 11, 2006) |

I have many self made implements, and some even came out good enough to vend, during a few events here. I don't sell anymore, but donate some for events. By looks and the effort put into it, I enjoy the oak paddleball shaped paddle that I made. It took more effort than I wanted to use, but it was worth it, for the look. The thickness, makes it more for a light stingy spanking, and it's loud, so it's not used often. I especially like the high gloss finish that drove me crazy, in that it took MANY coats, to get what I wanted. The other, by looks alone are the rope floggers. They are used for sensual play, unless using the braided and knotted ones, which add a bit of a thuddy feel. The simplest of implements, that really isn't "homemade" as much as "just there"....is an electrical cord. This particular cord is quite thick, and is a high gauge than a regular cord. We cut the plug off, and the tip of that cord swung is pure hell. It leaves a nice welt, and didn't cost a cent. The appliance it was attached too was broken. My other homemade toys are for another site. |

K, you tease! Steve found this neat stuff that comes as a pellet and turns into a gel in hot water. While hot it can be molded into any shape...even rolled out like dough. Once it cools it becomes a semi-hard yet flexible material that stings/burns like crazy! He has made long, thin stingers and more recently a paddle that takes very little effort to do its job. The after affects can last a while, making this a serious implement for discipline or play. Evil man! If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day, so I never have to live without you. Grow old with me, the best is yet to be.

A friend of ours used to make these totally wicked floggers out of rubber spline. That's the stuff that fits between the frame and the mesh in a window screen. Its about 1/8 of an inch in diameter and round with little ridges around the circumferance that run the length of the material. Her floggers are entirely made of the material...the tails come down to a handle that's made of the bunch of them with more of the material wrapped tightly around the bundle. Its the only toy my wife has ever hidden from me. I believe it was inspired by the infamous Loopy Johnny. I have several toys made by another friend that are some of my favorites. My favorite is a heavy oak frat-type paddle that's a good 3/4 inch thick. She also made a matching "super ruler" paddle (the same thickness, but only 1 1/2 inch wide) and another one that's thin like a regular ruler. The best one, though, was a small flat paddle a little bigger than a hairbrush and about 1/2 inch thick. The other side was covered in a soft black rabbit fur, which prompted me to name it the "harebrush". Unfortunately, it developed a crack down its grain and is no longer suitable for spanking (though the rabbit side can still be used for soothing). As you slide down the banisters of life may the splinters never point the wrong way. Old Irish Proverb

Chris, your toy reminded me of another toy I make, and it's called "Pure Evil." Somewhat on the idea of spline, it's made out of a rubber that is used to make O-rings, so while it's also rubber, it's quite a bit thicker than spline. I did make one flogger, but it's really an unrealistic implement to use on anyone that I know. I only used it on one person, and they were a most severe masochist. "Pure Evil," on the other hand, is only four strands of the O-ring rubber, attached to a handle. The O-ring comes in varying thickness, so I use the thinner for Loopys, and the thicker for the wicked toys. Most people cringe, just "looking" at them. Rubber does seem to make a good homemade toy, but it's not for the faint of heart...or bottom! K |

Carly, I have one of those kool aid spoons and Bill love it, I hate it. My all time favorite homemade toys is the inlaid paddle that Bill made from cherry and mahogney(sp). it hurts like hell and the inlaid leaves tiny marks on my butt. Bill made two a noraml size on about he ize of the CB paddle and a small one that fits in his coat pocket, his jean pocket, it has made a guest appearance at he strangest times. I think I'll search him when we leave the house for now on. Love can't always be seen or heard but will always be felt with your heart

We got ours with a specialpackage with Splendia and some Kool Aid. No having chidren the Kool aid is just sitting on the shelve and eah and every time I go in the panty I swear the packets are dong a dance "We got her good" type of dance. Bill loves that dam spoon I wanted to give it to one of my girlfriends and he told her no way. The reason it hurts so is because it's not wooden but a plastic wood mix. So it has the thump of wood and the sting of plastic great combo oh yeah my butt just loves it. I wonder whhat would happen if it "accidently" go melted by the gas grill. No not a good idea my luck I will have to buy a new jen air and still have the dam spoon intact Love can't always be seen or heard but will always be felt with your heart

My hubby's favourite homemade toy is actually a stain sample from our kitchen cabinets. It's solid maple, stained and varnished. We have raised panel doors, and this is a strip of the wood that forms the rectangle that holds the panel. It's 3/4" thick, just over 2" wide, and about 10" long. Have I mentioned that it's varnished hardwood??? He loves it. Thinks it's just like a ruler (more like three glued together). Made some schoolgirl comment the last time he walloped me with it. He claims he wasn't using much force, but my butt doesn't believe him. |

I need to find one of those Kool Aid Spoons. Pagan - Too cool. I remember when they were doing our cabinets on our new house, that I'd like to get a left over piece to "keep". Always thought it would be cool to get spanked by the same wood as the cabinets in the house. (Yes, I guess that sounds a little weird huh?). Anyway, after reading your post, maybe it's a good thing I didn't get one. "It seemed like a good idea at the time."

Re-read Wolfie's post. Her evil Dom made what looks like a long narrow spatula that you would use to ice a cake out of that white stuff you can mold and sent it to Mr. B. That is truly a very evil implement, compliments of Steve. OUCH. My favorite is a leather flogger that we just bought. Mr. B does not make toys, unless you can call cutting a swich from a tree making a toy. He has done that before. LOL. The Spice of Life is having my OWN WAY!! A spanking would be nice.

Reader Girl, Good idea but the one time our crop got accidently put int he trash car on the day that trash was picked up Bill made me cut the one and only switch he used. In addition to that I had to go buy two crops to replace the one and becasue we live in the part of New York that has many horse stables I was able to get them the very same day.I didn't even get a reprive by waiting for them to be delivered. One reminded on my dresser for a week and the other was used on my butt for the same week. No way will I ever throw out destroy, fold or mulalate any implement. No did it once and got the red sore butt to prove it Wolfie, How sweet of you willing to share your new toys. Love can't always be seen or heard but will always be felt with your heart

Try this one Go to a good paint store, ask for a 5 gallon paint stick <stirrer> and take it home, lightly use sandpaper, then put a coat of shellac on it, lightly sand again and then put another coat of shellac on it; repeat until you are satisfied. Trust me, it ouches! } |

ooh i just made my first implement! *grins proudly* my lovely boyfriend has gone away for the weekend, and i'm lonely and desperate for a spanking, so i thought i'd go shopping to try to find something quiet....anyway, i was looking for fly swatters (i read bethie's post about them being quiet and since we share a student house that's kinda crucial) but couldn't find any. then i saw these 'cable ties' -you know those thin grey strips of plastic you loop through themselves? it was only £1 for a huge bag so i got them! and....i've taped five of them together flat, and they make a funky switch type thing! i just tried it out...it stings and is nearly silent except for a scary quiet whippy noise...and it leaves cool marks: each stroke leaves 5 little ovals in a line where the ends dig in. i might make some more and leave them in handy places like his desk drawer or under my pillow... i hope he likes it...i feel like a thrifty hunter gatherer spanko! ^_^; |
