I couldn't believe it! I went around to the side of the house to put the step ladder back and there on the ground lay our "Cute Little Deer with the Bear Behind" paddle. We bought that back in /72 at the border store in Duluth. It always hung on the wall (never thought to use it). When I asked him why he threw it away he said "It's cracked". SOOOO!! I gave it to him to use the handle as a pattern to make a couple of paddles and it got left in the work room, then he was straightening up his table and.....WE cracked it a couple of years ago when we got into this thing and it's only a little crack. I cleaned it up and clamped it down to dry. GAWD!!! |

It was dry this morning so I filled the crack with wood glue and clamped it back down...got my fingers crossed. I wouldn't have rated my husband as a vanilla more like the ripple variety. But I told him he lost a point in the spanko course of spankoism. He laughed. |
