I can't remember where I read it but someone mentioned in another thread about receiving a spanking when out in public or in a crowd. So I wanted to ask those of you who do live D/D relationships (which I don't) if that has ever happened to you or how do you cope if you have done something to upset your partner when not in the privacy of your own home? I know the general opinion is that you cede control in your relationship to your S/O but I find it hard to believe that anyone would allow it to go that far. You read a lot of references to it being done there and then so that the lesson is driven home while the 'crime' is still fresh in the memory, but while I will allow that could apply to telling off children who have short term memories, I can't see that it is necessary with fully grown adults.

I can't imagine my husband would ever spank me in public. He does tell me I can do this or that, but I can't imagine him ever lecturing me outright in public. I don't think he would ever want to humiliate me that way, especially in front of our families or people I have to interact with.
If we are in public and he feels that I am getting out of line, he will step up to me, put one hand on my face and lean right up in my ear. We are *very* physically affectionate, like horny teenagers all the time, so no one thinks anything of this. They just think he is nibbling or licking my ear or something.
He is actually saying something along the lines of "Maybe you should watch your mouth, huh? Is that the way you talk to me?" or "How blistered do you think your ass is going to get if you keep going this way?" Of course, all the time he is smiling and/or laughing and I am giggling and wriggling so no one is any the wiser. It works every time, btw, except my behavior is then orderly but my thoughts are completely randy! So I might be a good girl then but later...
He has spanked me in front of another couple that we were swinging with but that was just an erotic spanking and he also spanked the other woman. I kind of got the feeling that the person who mentioned it was talking about a party or a club or a munch or something. But maybe not.
I have definitely heard of people getting punished in public but I sort of assumed that was sort of "Dear Penthouse Forum, I never thought it would happen to me..." kind of stuff reserved for internet porn.

If my hubby ever tried to smack me in public, he best be prepared to spend some time in traction! Spanking is private for me. And my hubby is actually a bit of a reserved brit so he wouldn't do it anyway. Heck, he won't even spank me if he thinks there is anyone at all in hearing distance!

I dont mind being spanked in public...as long as its done for fun or "mock" discipline only. I wouldnt like being humiliated by real punishment in front of strangers.
Steve has bent me over railings and a bike rack, and I know he wants to play outside in the woods sometime. Its a big turn on for me as well.

A play spanking outdoors (but in seclusion) would be something different. I think that would be exhilarating just for the pure danger of getting caught. I've been spanked outdoors more than a few times...but never with an audience.
I was still a (legal) teenager at the time, so we both lived at home, and had little privacy.
I've been spanked:
1) In the lobby of an apartment building on New Year's Eve while we waited for a cab (yes, ok...diminished capacity on both of our parts, but not so much that either of us drove)

I've been spanked outside in the woods and around a lake and over the railing of our deck in the back yard - all in play. No one the wiser I HOPE.
But never publicly or for humiliation. Mr. B would never do that. But threaten - he most certainly does.

My husband has frequently threatened to spank me in public, he says things like "Do you want me to spank you right here in front of everybody?" etc, and I always find this a massive turn-on. However, if he was to actually do it I think I'd just be too embarrassed to enjoy it. Also, even if he didn't care about embarrassing me, I don't think he'd want to embarrass the spectators.
He has spanked me when we've been out sailing in his boat in the harbour, but only when there's no other boats in the vicinity and we're too far from the shore for anyone to see. I suppose someone might have seen us through one of the telescopes up at the castle, but that's too far away, I really can't get worried about that. |

I have been spanked in several different parked cars, and been observed a couple of times. I don't think my Dominant would purposely seek out a vanilla audience, though.
I have a play partner who has absolutely no issues with turning his girlfriend over his knee in public. He has done this while we were out to lunch, as well as at tea in a hotel. Thus far I have managed to avoid that treatment myself, though I can't say I'd really mind.

Never in public expect if you count those little slaps that are happening so often I just stopped complianing abou them. Bill has spanked me in our pool in our yard on our boat but never in front of anyone He never would embrass me like that. I have never spanked my wife in public-but I did take her into the "Janus" shop in London and made a big show of choosing a new cane.

In private I have no limits. Well none that W doesn't share or that we've discovered yet. When we are doing this strictly there are only two area's I can overrule.. The children and that's usually joint anyway and things in public. It's not that I mind and well derr of course I can see how hot it is but it's all about consensuality. Just because we like a good spank and allow our partners to discipline us the public haven't consented to watching it. There was the case where the dom made his sub eat her macdonalds off the floor. yeah fantastic control/turn on for them but where children are present I think not.

Grizz has spanked me at our family business which is outdoors. His brothers were on the other side of the business but it was still exhilirating... if only he hadn'e of been peeved with me. I would have been mortified if the others would have walked over at that time.

My wife has never spanked me in public but she has made many comments about it where other people could hear her. We have a nosy neighbour lady that works around the fence and tries to listen to our conversations when we are in the yard. I think the whole spaning in public thing has to do with exactly how you live the DD life. I've not been spanked in public, or at least not a proper one OTK, but Sarah has pulled me over to her and swatted me several times if she thinks she needs too.
I guess it runs to we aren't doing this for pleasure so it's different for us.
